I thought his issue was being a prick? I don't think he's had any legal troubles or suspensions? This is meant as a question...
lol no legal issues, as far as I know.

Sounds like he's doing well for Marlies... I hope it goes well for him. He's one of the guys I'm most excited to see. Golden opportunity for him.lol no legal issues, as far as I know.
Worth noting that Veronneau is also only an alternateView attachment 502816
I was looking up to see how Spacek was doing.. saw Rattie is almost a .ppg. Why not on Team Canada? I think he would've done well.

He's very vocal about where he should be playing. At these tournaments with quicky make-shift rosters it's best to have guys willing to accept and play hard at whatever role they get asked to do. He doesn't have that kind of rep. At least he has decent numbers. Some of these guys on the roster puzzle me...older and only so-so stats. Don't know the players that well...maybe they are shut-down specialists??
Even with no NHLers quite a few good Canadian players in Europe were left off. Max Veronneau is 3rd in SHL scoring and wasn't even remotely considered. Chris DiDomenico whose been a staple on Canada’s Spengler Cup teams over the years and one of the better Euro players we have isn't there either.View attachment 502816

My guess is an insane lunchpail work ethic... Pucks in deep... Crowd the crease... Shots from the point. Similar to how Canada wins Spengler cups. Keep it simple
I saw veronwau there... Ahead of rattie. I just don't know who he is. 3rd in SHL is impressive. I'm thrilled Spacek is on Czech team and the 2 Canucks ahead of him aren't going.Even with no NHLers quite a few good Canadian players in Europe were left off. I think Canada will just get stronger and stronger as it progresses... Early hiccups followed by gelling. That's a reasonable approach when you have a team that has not played together much at any level. Need to keep it simple so everyone can follow along.

Even the last Olympics... Czechs beat Canada in group play but lost in the medal game. Classic Canada. Classic Czech too.haha
Let's tone down the hyperbole maybe?Even with no NHLers quite a few good Canadian players in Europe were left off. Max Veronneau is 3rd in SHL scoring and wasn't even remotely considered. We'll see... Krejci is a huge bonus. Our coach isn't the smartest. Czechs are very old... youngest guy is Spacek. I'm still not sure if that is an advantage (eg. most the older guys were NHLers like Sobotka, Frolik and Krejci) or a disadvantage (eg. they're old). I'm pumped for this!I think Czechs should be the favorites in that matchup this time around. Krejci and the EHT familiarity being factors. Canadian foreign legion doesn't have much battle practice together.

I am on team ho sang... I figure this converts to an NHL gig and has learned his lessons or he begins a very entertaining euro journey after burning bridge after bridge.lol. I do think it's the latter though. This is why it's a little puzzling they took Ho-Sang. His game is the opposite of that. At least it has been prior to this season. Not sure if he's "adjusted" his game this year in the AHL.
Really wonder that Street 0,97 P/G (25) is on the team instead of Akeson 1,42 P/G (1).
Akeson leads the leauge and has better stats as Stastny, Wheeler or Benn had during lockout in the DEL.
I think we all know the answer to this question lol. Daddy Ray was probably on the phone with Doan the second the NHL pulled out.not sure what canada sees in landon ferraro. there is 10+ better canadians in SHL alone.
anyways why does canada always take so long time to announce their teams?
