He didn’t make the long listI know experience is important but when it comes to goaltending I would rather go with the hot hand. Tristian Jarry better be on the roster.

Didn’t make the long listNo room for Kadri I guess? He's doing some very good point production at the moment.
Anyone just see the Chabot goal?
Yeah I don't see Toews doing that for all those Avs fans banging the table for him
Chabot played himself onto my team a while ago.
With Rielly starting to make nose as well, Canada has some tough decisions ahead on the left side after it seemed weak earlier in the year. Corret me if I'm wrong but Weegar primarily plays the left side right?
With Toews apparently not on the long list:
Pelech
Weegar
Rielly
Chabot
Theodore
Who are your top 3 on the left side?
What is the source for Toews apparently not being on the long list?
Unsubstantiated rumours at the moment I guess but I'm sure hoping he's on it.
How many D and forwards do you think are even on the list?
28/16/6 (double the roster size with extras) sound about right? You would think he would be on the list. Might be a fun game to try and guess the 50 players.
The only rumour I've seen is one guy in here wondering if Toews is on the long list a few pages back. He's pretty much always listed as a contender by media members that I've seen. They have 50 skaters on the long list in addition to the six goaltenders, so probably just a few more forwards and defencemen than you suggested here.

It’s more about him not being as good in his own zone versus him lacking something at the other end, that said I would take him over Darnell Nurse in an instant
I watch him a fair amount, 5 odd viewings of Ottawa this year. Zone exits are ok, but he tends to lose men in coverage and doesn’t box out that well in the net front. Mind you I still have Chabot on my team, but to question Toews’ spot at the expense of Chabot is a bit silly, he has been the best left-handed Canadian defenseman on a 200 feet spectrum this yearWatch Chabot. Hes absolutely terrific in his own zone

Has Thomas Chabot Played his way Onto Canada's Olympic Team?I've watched about 90% of Chabots games dating back to junior. I appreciate your opinion here but I feel like Ive made a more informed one on him.
Has Thomas Chabot Played his way Onto Canada's Olympic Team?
skip to the last sentence, it seems we can be simultaneously correct
If it is like the last Olympics - I always felt it unfair that the States/Canada can't send their AHL players. For all intents and purposes, that is their Domestic league along with NCAA and even CHL in some cases. They miss out on a LOT of really good non NHL players. I was impressed as hell by that Bronze last time. But you add in AHL and Canada/US have much stronger teams IMO.Claude Julien, Team Canada coach at Channel One Cup, to TASS: It is unclear if NHL players will go to the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Possibly Team Canada will have to select the players from European leagues to the Olympics. So, I recommended the players to be in ideal condition before the Games.
Yeah, but that is the problem Hockey Canada should solve. If they are OK with NHL dictating their conditions to them.. then, it is just their problem. It is not OK if any National Team is so heavily dependant on a decision of a private league. If it is like the last Olympics - I always felt it unfair that the States/Canada can't send their AHL players.
