2 firsts and 2nd WITHOUT retention for 20+30 dude, lmao JBB you must be drunk. Some people don't learn from their mistakes
It's a great trade for where Tampa is currently positioned. They don't care about 1sts that won't help this team in thelr window, and JBB didn't give up any of their current near ready prospects that could actually help. Not surprised at your dokm.and gloom take (because what else is new from you), but it's a good trade.for both sides given where each team is.

Detroit had to add something to the deal. Aucoin essentially seems like future considerations.

TB traded the rights to Ty Taylor a while back for a similar purpose.

why do you even bother coming and posting? I honestly don't see how you enjoy being here or even watching hockey.

But the firsts are top 10 protected, but low end picks, torontos 2nd also low second, a f***ing 4th, and ace. what are you crying about?

Are there no protections for the 1st rounders? It's a lot to give up for a guy who is probably the best available, but not exactly perfect.
Idk about protections on them. It's a little more, but most trades I made and saw for Bjorkstrand had at least a 1st+good prospect+ for him, so I guess JBB just decided to keep the good prospects they have now and add the '27 1st instead.

Both Firsts are Top 10 protected.

Much rather give up late 1st round picks than our current prospects.

We still need to utilize that $1M of cap and bring in some 4th line size.
Agreed, yeet this years other second and other fourth for some size

It's not about picks, but for that price he should have done better. At least retention, or getting rid of Sheary.
Florida got a top-pairing RD with a 4-year(!) retention just for 1st and overpaid goalie after player assistance program. That's what I call a deal

They are retaining on Gourde and Bjorkstrand is 20 goal scorer for another year at $5.4M. Again, what is the problem?

I'm just in shock having Gourde back. He was the one guy you didn't want to lose. Now I must admit that I haven't been able to follow him much so I don't know what he looks like today but Mac have done well coming back here so hope that Yanni does as well.

Then go to the Florida board and crow about it, since you don't seem like much of a Lightning fan in here anyway.

Starting to think this was probably what Buffalo was asking just for Tuch. Maybe without the 2nd. BriseBois said he can fill that 2RW spot and 3C for the same price. While Bjorkstrand doesn't have the offensive potential that Tuch does i feel he's a better fit for the 2nd line because he plays closer to what Hagel and Cirelli do. So if they can mesh then the offensive difference would probably be minimal. Also Bjorkstrand is extremely reliable, doesn't hardly miss any time so you know he'll be out there every night.
