They don't care about 1sts that won't help this team in thelr window, and JBB didn't give up any of their current near ready prospects that could actually help. Idk about protections on them. It's a little more, but most trades I made and saw for Bjorkstrand had at least a 1st+good prospect+ for him, so I guess JBB just decided to keep the good prospects they have now and add the '27 1st instead.
