The "issue" like @Rschmitz said is that we have the cap space to do both, yet we seemingly arent. Our top six would have probably 3 years of being lethal together, and locked up, if we brought back Stamkos as well.

We should still have quite a few M to spend in cap space to fill another top6 spot, once Guentzel and JJ Moser are signed. We should be starting the next season with a very very good top six no matter what

Assuming Guentzel plays with Point and Kuch, who could we theoretically bring in to play with Hagel/Cirelli that would make the 2nd line actually dangerous? Because right now we're still a one line team, and we just dumped our best goal scorer.

This is the big question. If not Stamkos, then who? Apart from Guentzel, I'm not sure you really get an upgrade for what Stamkos would cost us. Even if he (Stamkos) hits 30 goals, you're getting Guentzel on PP1 down low more than likely. Losing Stamkos makes us change the PP1 dynamic if we don't have a RH shot or you move Raddysh there??? And that sounds disgusting. So, idk.

They're not going to get a better value for the production than Stamkos. Everyone here seems to at least agree on that. Since they don't want him back, the question now remains: who can be a goal scoring winger on the second line? We DEFINITELY don't want to return as a one line team AGAIN.

Also, you're right about the left circle on the PP1. Guentzel is a lefty so he's not playing there. Whoever they bring in has to be able to replace Stamkos' spot on the PP as well.
