I’ll wait until I see our final roster, but I’m surprised this is the route we’ve decided to take. For a good month or so, all the talk from the organization was about having the roster to simply “run it back.”

Now we’re supposedly adding at least two Top 6 forwards and could be reworking our entire 2nd pairing.
I’d be very surprised if both Skjei and Pesce were moved. We haven’t lost any other significant pieces from last year. I consider it a bit of a “run it back” just with big upgrades on what were depth players last year.

Unless it suits an agenda in an argument, take what they say publicly with a grain of salt.

I would say that Pesce probably gets moved if Karlsson is finalized: his contract extension was likely to have the most albatross potential of the bunch although RHD is ultra-important.

I don’t buy the EK Interest being as legit as reported, I truly think it’s negotiation tactic for Pesce talks. Same with Don’s recent comments about a Skjei extension, that one just doesn’t make a ton of sense to me with Slavin and Orlov/Nikishin locked in. But we shall see.

Feels like a seize the moment strategy...with so many of the cap-strapped teams reduced to visiting the bargain bin. It does feel a little odd all the same but here's hoping it's successful.

We need a scorer.

TT - Aho - Jarvis
Bunting - KK - Tank
Svech - Drury - Necas
Marty - Staal - Fast

We could see TT moved out in a deal for Lindholm:

Svech - Aho - Jarvis
Bunting - Lindholm - Tank
Pono - KK - Necas
Marty - Staal - Fast

I mean damn, make the move for EK

Slavin - EK
Orlov - Burns
Chatty - TDA

I added the /s cause I guess it's needed, sadly.

I'm starting to like our group.
