Can't place Pearson... is he moar bigger? Can he fight? If he can't play does he go on LTIR? Can he be worse than Jake Evans on the 4th line? Or Dvorak?

Pearson is old, hasn't came close to play a full season in 7 years or so. Obviously needed someone to keep company to Monahan and help with our man-games lost shtick. (DeSmith was a shit trading chip so whatever.)

The Habs rebuild is essentially just Kent doing everyone a solid. Players and GMs.

I'm confused, are you complaining about this trade? This trade makes a lot of sense for Montreal.

The only solid Kent did was for Petry in trading Petry to Detroit. And that was after getting good value in trading him and re-acquiring him.

Kent loves to wheel and deal for picks. good on him. builds the farm

Pearson is there to make the trade work money wise for the Nucks, I have zero expectation he'll be there when the season starts. They'll flip him for another late pick probably or just waive him since he's healthy now .
who would want him? Kent have to give a pick for someone to take Tanner?

No I’m not complaining. I just find it funny.

“Sure we’ll take Dach. Sure we’ll take Newhook. Sure we’ll take Matheson. Sure we’ll take Petry. Sure we will trade you to your hometown Jeff. Here we found you a job Casey”

All good moves, but those are all solids. Young guys fallen out of favour, cap casualties, taking less so the player is happy.

Montreal
not a bad move, but I don't entirely understand it. Another 3rd? Hughes already has like 21 picks in the next two drafts. I guess it's currency to move up. Maybe they don't want to lose Primeau on waivers.
Pearson absolutely does not fit in with the high tempo offence MSL is trying to create and Hughes already dumped an overpaid clone in Hoffman.
There has to be something else here, or maybe they just buy out Pearson

maybe at some point he uses some of these to make a move ??

6'1
Doesn't fight
Supposedly healthy
He's a winger. 257 faceoffs in 590 games, 39.3%

If we eat some of the salary, sure. He's a decently respected vet still, on the last year of a fairly cheap deal. I could see a team take him for a pick.

Dach and Newhook weren't solids, they had legit value on the trade market. If Montreal wasn't going to pay for them, someone else was.

I'm assuming another trade involving forwards is coming. Unless they don't care about waining Ylonen.

Or don't care about waiving Pearson.
