The kind of player that would quickly be a fan favourite on any team he went to. Hits, fights, and can skate and has skill. Just a down year for him.
The only reason I think it takes a first is because there would be a bidding war and someone would eventually offer it. It's one reason many Preds fans have kind of become ok with the idea of moving him.I think this would be a huge pickup that won’t happen but if it did, it would take a first for sure and something else.
Jeannot is, IMO exactly what the leafs need - a top or middle 6 power forward with grit who can fight.
I’d be okay with a first for him from Toronto’s side. His deal is cheap and with this down season he should be affordable to re-sign.Toronto 1st next year +
Brandon Hagel had 21 goals in 55 games and was locked in at 2 more years at a cheap salary when he was traded.Has to be Hagel-esque return for even to consider.
Knies says helloleafs dont have the tradeable assets to acquire such a high caliber player.
Jeannot is worth either a 1st or top prospect
Dubas should be fired if he trades Knies for Jeannot. Most I’d go is 2024 1st + Robertson/Niemela/Minten. Even then, I’d rather move that 1st for someone who moves the needle more.Knies says hello
Knies is definitely a no go for Jeannot, but even a 1st + Robertson/Niemela/Minten could be a big overpay.Dubas should be fired if he trades Knies for Jeannot. Most I’d go is 2024 1st + Robertson/Niemela/Minten. Even then, I’d rather move that 1st for someone who moves the needle more.
Fine, then we shouldn’t trade him for a late 1st and a middling prospect. He’s still young enough to fit our next timeline and with the year he’s having we should be able to lock him down long-term at a low number.Brandon Hagel had 21 goals in 55 games and was locked in at 2 more years at a cheap salary when he was traded.
Jeannot had 5 goals and though he is an RFA he needs a new deal.
A 1st with a small + is reasonable. Multiple 1st + is not.
This may be news to you, but the Leafs have a 1st and a top prospect.leafs dont have the tradeable assets to acquire such a high caliber player.

Sounds like a Low T issue for the rest, then.Who's horny ? One poster ?
The problem for Tampa that 1st is 2026 at the earliest. Not sure if Nashville wants to wait that longWould cost a protected future first. Seems like a natural Tampa target if he was seriously on the table.
And Shanahan slaps the phone to into the Sun and Knies into a nap.Knies says hello
Leafs mantra right here. After every season. After every Post-Season. Usually about four games in to the Post-Season.Better than golfing in mid April
About 4 games in? No it takes us the full length of a series to lose in new and heart breaking ways thank you very much.Leafs mantra right here. After every season. After every Post-Season. Usually about four games in to the Post-Season.

Duhhh that poster is clearly talking about the 1974 playoffs. Cause that was the last time Toronto had a 4 game first round series lolPlease point out the 4 game post season youre speaking about.
If you want to trash the Leafs, fine, but be honest. It's pretty pathetic to just make things up.
No. I wouldn't trade him for less than a 1st. But. A lot depends on his contract demands. There's a really wide range between 24 goals and near the top of the league in hits and fights and then 5 goals. The Preds have been talking to him about his next contract. If we could lock him up to a nice long-term deal at $2-$2.5M, then he's not on the market for a trade. If he wants to get paid like he's Tom Wilson, then that's another story.Would a second do the trick for Nashville? Plus b prospect? Many teams will come knocking imo
