Schenn is the type of player that with his age and contract we'd have to add assets to deal him away. It would be easier to keep him and let him be the man to wear the C if we decide to retool/rebuild.

Faulk and Parayko would be the two players with 6.5mil contracts that we'd be able to actually get assets back.

Trading both Faulk and Parayko off, we'd have our worst defence since 2008.

Best case for Schenn is getting a top 6 center and allow him to move to the wing for his final few years. Especially if he continues to keep his 55+ point pace he's had his entire career. (Currently on pace for 61 points this season)
