You'll still find a handful of guys that will defend Binner. FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS of dropping save % and goals allowed and you're not allowed to call him out on it.
I just don't see him letting in the same weak goals consistently that Allen let in, and I also don't see him letting in the first shot of the game as often as Husso did. Maybe the Blues have been extremely unlucky with their goaltending but, IMO, Binnington is a very clear upgrade over those two and if that's what we have to compare to, of course Blues fans are going to defend him. Any competent goalie looks good next to those two.
