No matter where they fell in 6-9 range when I simmed it, Rangers took Krebs.

At least this year they moved the lottery up. It's on 4/9, in the past it'd been late April so we get a few extra weeks of researching prospects knowing where we'll be picking.

I got Hughes a few times podkolzin once at 3 and a bunch of Peyton Krebs If we pick anywhere from 6 to 8 Christ

Krebs isn’t going to go that high. He’s a good prospect, but he’s been pretty vastly overrated because he gets force-fed the puck on a bad team. I think he’ll end up like a good support winger like Jason Zucker, but he doesn’t strike me at all as the type of kid that can carry a line like other players in the top-10.

I think it’s because they haven’t updated the rankings in a while. It still has Turcotte in the 12-16 range before he turned on the jets after being fully healthy. Realisticallt swap Turcotte for Krebs there and it’s a more realistic picture.

I get 7th almost every time. The occasional 8th and the occasional 1-3. Very rarely 6th.

Which is just a good reminder that we should all cross our fingers to win the lottery, but expect to be bumped a slot or 2.

I'd say its a distinct possibility. Right now, I feel like Anaheim is heading in the opposite direction. Whereas we traded some core guys and are struggling down the stretch, they've made some changes that have them playing their best hockey in months (if not the season).

The team that actually concerns me as a dark horse is Buffalo. Like us, this last stretch has been brutal.
