Not to rain on the parade, but even if the Canucks finished dead-last in the NHL, they'd still only have a 25 percent chance of winning the draft lottery. As things stand tonight, they're at 7.5 percent.

And this is the Canucks we're talking about. The team that's dropped in almost every draft lottery over the last decade. Heck, they stated their existence by losing a spin of the wheel in a two-team draft race against Buffalo.

I realize hope springs eternal for Canuck die-hards.......but come on.....they're not winning the lottery.

Holy. Well now that I actually look at the standings even Anaheim isn't that far behind. I still feel the bottom 4 will bottom out again and probably san jose too but hey it's closer than I thought.

We just need to step on the gas on our tank to out tank them...we're in the hunt.

Time to move Horvat + Demko + Schenn and shutdown Hughes and Petey...or just play OEL and Burroughs more.

So we get one of the other 4 supreme prospects available...I'd take it.

If it’s any consolation, for a long time I thought I was incapable of winning a raffle. Until I won a tea set in a raffle. Since then I have won a Manchester City jersey, a GPS, Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets, Hedley tickets and a Canucks Jersey. One of these days we will win our teaset.

Really not getting my hopes up though.

But a 100% chance at a top 3 pick.

Bedard would be amazing but Fantili and Carlsson are both incredible players. Michkov is a little different since he may be amazing but not around for 3-4 years.

There's just no way we finish last. Those teams are too terrible. And we just finished our most difficult stretch. Just hoping we get bottom 6 and have a half decent shot at top 2.

Ottawa CRUSHES a top 3 team to pick up two points!
Sharts take top 2nd top seeded Canes to OT to pick up a point! (tho Sharts were up by two with two minutes to go, thats some serious tank competition)

Good tank night so far :yo:

I will gladly have any of the prospects except for Michkov.

Won’t be able to come over for 3 years and Canucks fans cannot wait that long for a prospect to come over . We need someone who can co tribute in the next two years

Really starting to like Benson a lot , but ideally we want someone like Fantilli or Carlsson if it’s bite Bedard

It'll be an amazing thing if it happens, but at 8%, I just hope we're all being realistic here. At the same token, I buy a lottery ticket every week and even if I don't expect to win, it sure is nice to pretend every once and a while.

Uhh...Michkov is probably the dream scenario for this team. Keep him away from this shit hole for next 3 years, we continue to be bottom feeders, by the time he comes over our cap situation will be better (sans Miller and OEL) and when he does come over we'll be adding a PPG winger, maybe even a 100 point player on a 3 year entry level contract.

Nah.

The current plan does not benefit in any way from having a player who joins in 3 years.

Likely the current management wont be around then as their plan to win a cup has succeeded and Rutherford will have retired as the King of BC.

Stop.

If they finished dead last, they would have 25% odds.

This victim, curse, nonsense is illogical voodoo gibberish.

There’s been nothing to suggest “Canucks luck” is a thing other than people’s bias making the team out to be super unlucky because…. …idk a victim complex?
