For all the crap Craig button gets, He was right about Virtanen, He was right about Zadina, He was right about Podkolzin (So far), He is not afraid to go against the hay, I don't mind his lists.
He had Zadina 3rd and Podkolzkin 9th ??? I just went back and checked. I don't mind his lists he puts more emphasis on international tournaments because obviously their is only so many games he can watch. That is why he is really high on someone like Sale because he was really good last year at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

His lists are extremely interesting. Prospect evaluations are the one thing he’s actually very good at.

The thing to remember with these lists is that they are wrong far more often than they are right. Very few evaluators have actually watched enough of every player to offer an actual informed opinion. It’s a big reason why the WJCs have an outsized influence on draft position.

Some HUGE tank games tonight :
Detroit vs Montreal (DET win in OT/SO would be ideal)
Philadelphia vs St Louis (Not sure who I want to win but defs want OT/SO)
And of course have have to lose to Seattle too.

Lets go tank bros!!!

Also looking at our remaining schedule of SEA-CHI-CGY-LA-ANA-ARI..... its a pretty soft schedule. Chicago and Anaheim games are pretty much a given win, we just have to lose the other 4 games.

Ohh Whoops on Zadina, I was thinking of somebody else..Now i forgot lmao

If we don’t walk away with Reinbacher, then whatever confidence I had left with management will be washed away.

There’s a good chance Montreal takes him before us as they need RHD, but if they don’t and he’s on the board, it would be borderline criminal to not take him considering our RHD situation.

Reinbacher has top 2 potential and probably has the highest ceiling after the first 4 in this draft.

Montreal will prob reach a bit and take him, unfortunately.

Hell I wouldn’t be surprised a team picking in the top 5 selects him over Michkov or Carlsson, especially if Michkov goes #3.

Reinbacher is incredibly talented. I see Pietrangelo written all over him.

If you are a Canucks aficionado you will know that Detroit will draft one slot in front of "Your Vancouver Canucks" (actually owned and operated by FA) and draft Reinbacher.

Reinbacher will replace Hronek and Hronek's career will end because of repeated concussions and shoulder surgery.

With the next pick the Canucks will draft Daniil But, whose entire career will be a question mark, punctuated by punctuation mistakes.

Detroit will draft, Oliver Moore with the Islander's 1st pick that will become a perennial all-star.

Detroit will then draft Trey Augustine, the top goalie prospect in the draft with Vancouver's 2nd round draft pick who will become the reincarnation of Hasek.

Why don't you throw in a couple of riots and the end of civilization for good measure?

In any case, Vancouver Media will, once again, be late to the party reporting on these events because they are too busy carrying the owner's bags through YVR.

How's that?

Last time the wings drafted in front of us we left with Hughes...

Wings will win the lottery and get Bedard and then with the tons of cap space they have next season they'll offersheet Pettersson and we won't be able to match because of Hronek and his new $8 million deal. We'll then end up with 4 very late 1st round draft picks and Hughes will demand a trade.

Wish Philly could win a game. Dallas, NYI, and Boston up next for them, before they finish easy with CBJ and CHI

Mostly worried about the Caps they absolutely need to beat Montreal tomorrow. After that they have Florida, NYI, Bos, and NJD next up for them. They may not win one of those, unless Bos and NJD rest their players.

Huge that STL and DET win tonight. DET has Buf next, after that both teams are facing only PO teams. Not out of the woods yet.
