Who would you guys like at #8 (realistic chance at being available)?
Is that you Jim?

Really, the Canucks most realistic best result is to remain right where they are and end up with the 8th pick. Flyers do face the Blues, Blue Jackets, and Blackhawks to end the season but also the Bruins, Islanders, and Stars. Small chance they pass the Canucks.
A good night on the tank scoreboard.....with the Wings winning and the Blues picking up a loser point.
Looking more and more like the Canucks will be locked into the eighth spot heading into the draft lottery. That would leave them with 6 percent odds in the Bedard sweepstakes.
Not very likely, but not totally impossible either. Would be huge if the Canucks could actually move up a few places when the lottery balls drop. Looks like there's a bit of a drop-off after pick #5.
But that just never seems to happen for the Canucks and their cursed lottery luck..
You mean the team that drafts Fantilli will completely f*** up his early development?Got a feeling Fantilli might be this year's Byfield or Kakko. Not saying they won't turn out but they might be underwhelming for #2 overall. I'd be picking Carlsson or Smith over him.
It’s been a massive for us to stay in the top nine, ideally top eight, but if we somehow stay in the top nine, we have a chance to really add a dynamic, top end ProspectThe last few days have been huge for the tank. For a minute there it was looking like we were going to play ourselves out of the Bedard lottery. Now that seems very unlikely.
Benson or Reinbacher.Who would you guys like at #8 (realistic chance at being available)?
Benson or Reinbacher.
I suppose Michkov is "realistic" as well, if teams are scared off buy the Russian Factor + his KHL contract.
there is 0 chance Aqua allows for a Michkov selection. He cannot wait 3 years to sell tickets. That is unless, Milstein signs Michkov....Benson or Reinbacher.

Benson won’t happen but Moore or Reinbacher are real possibilities. Michkov would be great as well if he falls, maybe he pulls a Jager and says he will only play for us (not happening)
I agree that Aqua would veto a Michkov selection. But I think it is "realistic" he is available at 8th overall and the Canucks would be extremely foolish to skip on him if that were the case. Of course, they are a foolish organization so...oh well.there is 0 chance Aqua allows for a Michkov selection. He cannot wait 3 years to sell tickets. That is unless, Milstein signs Michkov....
But yeah, Reinbacher all the way.
that is a key metric of my prediction unfortunately. Individually of sound mind you, but the way one person holds abnormal sway, you can bet on suboptimal decision making.I agree that Aqua would veto a Michkov selection. Benson I think can slip too. I have him rated 5th, but he's smaller and teams can't help but blow their loads on big kids.
From most of the rankings I’ve seen Reinbacher would be a hell of reach at 8th. Seems to be ranked 15-26th and most are 20-26th. But he could be moving up not sure. Have to see final rankings.Benson or Reinbacher.

He’s creeping up the rankings. I think we’ll see him a lot higher on a lot of final lists. From most of the rankings I’ve seen Reinbacher would be a hell of reach at 8th. Seems to be ranked 15-26th and most are 20-26th. But he could be moving up not sure. Have to see final rankings.
Gotta be a better way to phrase that.Benson I think can slip too. I have him rated 5th, but he's smaller and teams can't help but blow their loads on big kids.

Worded exactly as intended.Gotta be a better way to phrase that.
