Lines are better. Holl still playing is an absolute disgrace.

If and when Sammy lets in the first or 2nd shot…. yank his ass. Woll plays the rest of series

Happy to see Matty working on a very clear deficiency in his game. He failed to control a lot of passes in neutral ice that were not T2T. He'd either over skate the delivery or just fail to accept the pass on his backhand in stride. I noticed this a lot in his first 3 games.

He plays with good pace through the neutral ice, so if he can find a way to collect those passes with a better efficiency, I could see a lot more O-Zone time coming from it.

Good on him for putting in the work, and good on former Stanley Cup champs Schenn and ROR putting in the work with the kid. ROR has specifically been leading by example every day since arriving. It comes as no shock, as he had this reputation prior to coming to TOR, but he is routinely the last guy off the sheet.

Jeannot going to go full crazy tomorrow. Still love that kid
He's essentially Josh Anderson type of player.

He has had a bad year. But we forget Nylander scored 7 goals once in a year

Jeannot healthy could be a potential nightmare

Though if he keeps playing like he was this season, it could be an advantage for the Leafs

It has nothing to do with the refs, or coaching, or the lines. The core of this team is mentally soft , doesn’t matter how many ex champs they add. Common denominator remains the same. Game 1 is enough to tell me the Leafs will not win this series.

Any chance Keefe comes out of his coma by game time? I know he's not the greatest in-game tactician and makes bizarre personnel decisions, but I have never seen a coach so emotionless during an entire game when his team has come out with zero emotion or is getting hammered by bush league calls. I know he can't go out there and play for them, but try to show some passion or maybe that you care? He was more animated during the regular season than he is during the most important part of the season.

Time to move on to the next one.

Go Leafs Go!

Lines at practice.

Jarnkrok Matthews Marner
Kerfoot Tavares Nylander
Knies ROR Accari
ZAR Kamph Lafferty

IMO, you have to run Samsonov out one more time.
Prefer Kerfoot and Knies swap if that is the way it goes...whatever. The last game was lost on mistakes, not bad matches. Any idea about defense?

Holl is really unfairly dumped on, is a way better defenseman than 90% of this board will ever give him credit for, and should probably play over Liljegren (and Schenn) in most games in these playoffs, but I'm not sure how you don't give Liljegren a shot after last night. If you don't do it at home after a loss, you're never going to.
Give me his salary and I'll go block some shots on the PK as well and turn the puck over many times for years and that protection from my coach knowing I won't be held to the same standards as a guy like Liljegren will just make my job easier.

The Leafs need to win 3 of the next 4. The refs will for sure force a Tampa win in the last few games. The Leafs are locked to be down 2 games a series due to Bettman.

So Tampa has half of their D out, and how Leafs usually play against teams with multiple injuries? They suck big time. Remember that penguins game when Crosby and Malkin were not playing? That’s not the only example. For some inexplicable reason, this team can’t finish wounded opponent. Lack of killer instinct is glaringly obvious.

Keefe already juggling lines bad sign. Guy has no clue what he's doing right now. Leafs better win tomorrow.
Kind of forced to with the inevitable suspension to Bunting we'll hear about soon. Idk why he took Jarnkrok off Matthews wing to begin with but it's good he's back there now.
