An opposing coach trying to get a skilled player into concussion protocol to hurt their power play is such a scumbag move and should really be an unsportsmanlike penalty.

Concussion protocol is important but f*** off, you're just turning it into a joke when you do that.

Make the rule that the offending player can't return until the guy is cleared through concussion protocol (and if he doesn't clear, the offender is gone for the night too). I wonder how many coaches will complain then?

It's just a PP with 1 less defender you do not need to practice it. If anything the defenders have less practice.

It wasn’t a clear cut breakaway. Hedman isn’t the only guy on the ice.

5 minutes for that head hit would have been more reasonable than a penalty shot.

I get what you are saying but I don’t really think they are mutually exclusive.

It was a blindside hit to the head regardless of whether marner showed signs of concussions or not.

That said, I wouldn’t have been mad if they had pulled Marner off.

Play has been OK, let's hope they hold onto the emotion from that dirty hit and take it home next two. Anytime JT gets in a little scuffle like that and shows his emotions the boys play hard. Let's see it in the next two.

Too fancy.

They are all standing around looking for the tap in. No one wants to grind a rebound or tee a one timer. Those are "hard" plays. They just want to set up parameter shots and hope they can beat the goalie.

Different coaches. Same results.
