And there's the importance of AHL coaching

Tampa call ups, garbage like Dotchkin and Gourd are helping the team.

Our call ups are useless. Big Mac is invisible and Lernout has been awful.

I knew this would happen with Galchenyuk when he got moved to LW. Now he's completely ineffective offensively.

What makes it even worse is he's doing nothing and yet they're just letting him rot there on the wing. :dunno:

MT would've been crucified for doing this.

I would bet alot of money that Beaulieu and Galchenyuk wont wear a hab jersey in 2017-18

Yep. Can't stand this move.

But I'm tired of being angry at coaches. CJ has done a great job overall so I'll let this slide. Esp since I'm convinced that we're now going to trade the guy. It sucks because I'd love to keep him and think he'll be a really good player but it's not going to work out here.

Agreed. Plus its not like Galchenyuk is willing himself out of this so far..

He's not sulking. He's being misused, he's recovering from injury and his confidence is shot.

Sorry but that injury train has gone. He's been back from his injury for a while, and CJ was extremely patient with him and he played multiple games with the premier line, but his defensive shortcoming were exposed, and that line wasn't doing much in regulation.

How do you get his confidence back? You think putting him in a high pressure situation where he's exposed at this time of year is going to do it? Not likely.

Also look at the level of effort from guys like Byron and Gallagher even though they're not producing they're making things happen. Galchenyuk gives the puck up too easily and doesn't put the effort into getting it back.

Yup I get the feeling he'll be traded this summer as well. MB will likely not want to give him a long term contract and will look to move him is what I'm expecting.

He should've been developed way sooner as a center and things might've worked out better. Hopefully the return is decent if moved.

When all is said and done, the Bergevin era will be critiqued most harshly for its Therrien-Lefebvre two-headed monster and our valiant GM's approval of it all and how it chewed up and spit out prospects. I hope the future is kinder for Lehkonen, Sergachev, Mete, Scherbak, etc than it's been to the last 5 years' group :shakehead

Have a feeling Galchenyuk won't be back with the Habs after this offseason. Going to be moved for a true #1 center.

Not being negative because of this game but Julien has lost all trust in him and he seems to be struggling in every aspect of the game at this point.

Being back from an injury and being healed from one are two different things.

As for CJ being patient with him, I disagree. Patient would be sticking with him through the playoffs. Putting him on the 3rd line wing does absolutely nothing for anyone. It ruins his confidence and puts him in a bad position to succeed.

Thanks for asking.

If I was the coach of a team starving for goals (as we were for most of the time since CJ took over) I'd split the two big scorers and make two good lines from them. I'd have Chuck center Radulov and Dannault (who's not close to a 1st line center) pivot for Max. That way you get more offense out of your lineup, don't upset a young star's confidence and put more players in a position to succeed.

But what the hell do I know? I'm just an armchair QB home sick on a Friday night. Somebody pass me the Cheetos.
