Can we just please get all the games on one single service AND in 4k???

For f***s sake
No. It's about profits. Sportsnet overpaid, as such, they were forced to offload some games.

Expect it to continue unless there is going to be a Prime-like streaming product that buys all the games. If they do, expect Prime (or whichever company gets it) to increase significantly.

Don't forget that cable prices went up immediately after Sportsnet won the NHL rights. When you dish out over $5B for 12 years it is a hell of a gamble. I'm guessing they lost large.

Considering this broadcast in only available in Canada they certainly talk about Tampa Bay a lot.

I bet Bonsie would do this game for free if the asked

We have played pretty well to start the year, working hard, have looked good defensively but if our PP doesn't start producing, we won't go anywhere.

McMann has had a strong start to the season.

Yeah it is fair to say the PP is a critical issue at this point. Like they either figure it out or we won't win in the playoffs lol

The Tampa guy legit just held the Leaf player for 10 seconds to keep the puck in. Leafs should of had 3 or 4 powerplays.

Sportsnet covers the games "in 4k" but uses 99% compression to produce the same level of quality as the YouTube fat lightsaber kid ca. 2007.
At the beginning they used real 4K cameras. But in recent years I'm pretty sure they just upscaled regular broadcasts for those 4K channels to save production costs.
