Honestly feel bad for leafs fans

Dominated the regular season, historic season from Matthews, just to be gifted the opportunity to play against the back to back Stanley cup champs

You guys definitely deserve a better fate

At some point Tampa is going to run out of gas. championship pedigree can only go so far when your entire team is a bunch of geezers

If Vasilevsky was a Flyer, he’s just another random guy in the goalie graveyard that is Philly
If Vasilevskiy was a Flyer that team is making the playoffs instead of being a tire fire. He's the undisputed #1 goalie in the world. Pretty sure that's either 5 or 6 game 7s where he's allowed 1 goal or less.

God forbid we get something different in the playoffs

Vasi wins again? Yawn

The Lightning are basically as stale as month old bread.

Huh, I didn't realize they only had to play one series each of those seasons to win the cup.

Or you implying that all rounds prior to the Final aren't worth analyzing?

You probably find Dallas’ turtle hockey interesting

At least Bettman’s thrilled that all 10 Tampa fans will goose up those US TV Ratings
Quite honestly, yes I do enjoy watching teams like Dallas play. I really wanted LA to win tonight because I find them vastly more entertaining than the Oilers.

The main difference here though, is that I'm not stating those opinions as fact, as you are.
Entertaining is a subjective term.

As a Habs fan, as much as I am enjoying yet another 1st round exit for the Leafs, this is not like the other chokes. Toronto just happened to play the best team from the get go. Any other team (except maybe Colorado), the Leafs win.

Ironically, Tavares was in elementary school the last time the leafs won a playoff round.
What is even more ironic is that Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been complaining over the referees calling too many penalties, disrupting their potential 5-on-5 time.

Not realizing 2 things:

(1) Tampa Bay outplayed Toronto 5-on-5 this series. People have posted the stats. Passing the puck around the perimeter doesn't equal dominance.

(2) The last time the Maple Leafs won a series was the dead-puck era, where referees allowed the slower 2004 Maple Leafs to get-away with clutch-and-grab. You would think they would want that brand of hockey to return.

I mean, in one game there is a 5 on 3 initiated by a phantom high stick, and another game where a goal is called back from a offensive interference play that's normally not seen. Many were unsure of what exactly happened including myself and I did jump the gun. It was interference. But I'll still add this, if Holl did not dive down, I bet the refs wouldn't have blinked to call it. It was an intentional set play to shield Tavares that was poorly executed by Holl.

In the end, excuse are just that and only results matter. All teams deal with adversity one way or another and it's clear the Leafs get too caught up in their own head to deal with it.

Was a good entertaining series. GG, Tampa.

I am not a fan of reruns

The script writers are lazy. Leafs fans have suffered enough. Tampa’s spoiled entitled Fans deserve pain and misery
Hockey isn't scripted. If it ever shows proof that it is scripted, I wouldn't want to watch another game.

Toronto had a great season. A very fierce top of the lineup.

But for me, this series loss somewhat comes back to how they are as a team.

4 forwards making $40 million, while the other 8 forwards make near the league minimum.

Check the score-sheets from games 4 through 7. NOBODY on Toronto scored goal other than their Big 4 forwards + Rielly. The only exception was a single goal by Muzzin in game 4.

You won't win many playoff series when 75% of your roster NO-SHOWS 4 full games in a best-of-7.

Dubas has not managed the salary-cap or roster construction very wisely.

Alannis Morrisette was much more accurate with the use of ironic.

As much as I love to get on the leafs and watch them lose and go another year without winning a round, I think they actually played a good overall series.

To me that’s worse for them though. You can’t really blame it on them getting outmatched or in over their head. They had a great regular and thier best players played well. They got solid goaltending too. Where the hell do you go from here?
