The only bright spot from tonight's game was Drury. He had some good 5v5 scoring opportunities, and on a power play on the 2nd unit (his line's shift started with only about 30 seconds left after PP1 flopped).
Which brings me to my next point, with Noesen being injured (as if we needed yet another injury), Drury not only needs to be moved up to the top 9 (preferably top 6 IMO), he SHOULD given the worse alternative options. Do we really want to move Poolparty above the 4th line after his last game? Or Stepan? Or Stastny? Drury is the best offensive player right now out of that bunch, and we need goals more than ever down so many forwards.
Finally, I was excited to see Burns and Ghost together for the first time on a non-5v3 PP, but because Aho lost the faceoff, Tampa got the puck out of their zone, and Carolina struggled to get it back in the offensive zone; something that happens way too often on our powerplays with habitual zone entry woes. The team somehow had a 52% faceoff win at the end of the game, but for a long stretch, they kept losing faceoffs.
