I admire your positivity, not sure why we would expect a team who no showed for the past 2 elimination games would show up with a different effort on Monday. All of that coming on the heels of what happened last year and all the lack of accountability in their statements after the Columbus loss.

When has the team ever shown up for an elimination game? 2003?

Ive seen nothing to make me think that’s going to change on Monday

The Leafs still have a ~60% chance of winning this series.

Anyone who thinks it's a lock they lose, bet on it and become rich I guess because they're still favoured.

We had a 90% chance of winning that overtime last night. Stats have no meaning when Leafs are in the playoffs.

Play the whole game the way they played after they went down 2-0 and overtime and we’ll be fine. Maybe with their season on the line they will play with more fire. Or crumble under the pressure.

I had a lot of faith coming into this series. I'm going to say they win game 7 and if they don't I'll,need a break from this place.
But the Jets looked like dogs shit coming into playoffs and swept. So there's ummm that

Positive side of me says

We've been the better team, have the better personnel and are finally playing with our backs against the wall - which we've responded well to all year. We can control play and this team is playing for more than it ever has.

Time to get it done.

This is the time - over the next 30 hours or so - when those with no 'previous' on this team - Jumbo, Simmonds, Foligno, Brodie, Bogosian, Nash - have to bring their best off-ice work to bear on the rest of the line-up.

Hello,

Welcome, relax, sit back and take a break from the stress outside. When I last checked, 10 out of the first 11 threads on the main page were all singing the blues: last chance, criticism, game 7 is irrelevant, choke artists, you get the idea.

Not here. I happen to think the Leafs will win game 7, and when they do it will change things. I'm not blind, the last two games have been embarrassing. And, were so used to seeing them lose. I'm worried about Muzz and what happens if he's out in game 7. But, I think they're going to win. They had a great season. Matthews can be lethal, we know that. Marner can dazzle and hasn't. Nylander is playing so well, as are Rielly, Brodie, Jack, and Spezza's a treat. We have more talent and, I think, some veterans who are now going to take control. I think it's already started. Nick Foligno staring into the camera and saying 'it's not acceptable' was the moment. No offense to Tavares, Rielly, Spezza and others, it was the right, blunt assessment this team needed to hear. I think he starts with Matthews and Marner and leads them to playing better. Things pick up speed from there.

So if you've got a reason why you think the Leafs are going to win, take down Winnipeg, and who knows from there, cross your fingers, share your thoughts, it's going to be a bumpy 34 hours till game time.

Go Leafs Go!

Honestly spit my coffee out when I saw that, jeebuzz friggin cripes, victimhood is alive and well:laugh:

I admire all those who will tune in tomorrow.

I've asked very little of the team in my 40 years of watching them. More than following ...undying loyalty and passion. I've earned the right to ask that they show me they are different. Win game 7 and my 1 game protest will be over. Sure it's not much but it's what I can do.

If they complete the collapse tomorrow I will delete the game from my PVR, unwatched. I don't need to witness that story again - did it too many times.

I'm certainly not going to miss it, but I can tell you this there will be no GDT for me, I'm in the school of positive thoughts bring positive results and way too many people in here give up after the first bit of adversity and start with all their nonsense and vitriol. I've played at a pretty serious level and I can tell you that any negativity in the dressing room gets you cut almost immediately. You need to control it and just keep moving forward, it can't be any simpler than that. Sure it's no fun to lose nobody in their right mind accepts it, but until the final whistle you're still in it.

That said the Leaf 1 line explodes for 14 points, Canadiens can't hold them back forever.

Cinderella story. Campbell gets hurts. Freddy comes in to blank the Habs and beat Price.
Wins a playoff series and monkey of his back

I will say that the guy who most has impressed me is Kerfoot. I knew Campbell was good. I knew Rielly was good. I knew Nylander can play at that level, the only question is will he. But Kerfoot, I have just never seen him look this good. I might want to keep him now.

There’s a lot of people on our board right now who I’ve never seen before.

Leafs hating trolls everywhere right now.

I would love to win game 7 and send them all back to the basement that they came from.

The only thing keeping me from not going insane right now is that I'm a realtor in a hot market.

I hope we pull it off. I actually hope we find our mojo and can keep it going into the next series, should we get there.

I'm gonna be completely real: the only solace I get out of being a Leafs fan is that I share this misery with a shit ton of others.

So, thank you all for that

Spezza, Kerfoot, Nylander and of course, Jack Campbell, will carry this team to an emotional game 7 win. Looking at the last 3 game 7s the Leafs played, I dont feel confident with Matthews and Marner pulling through, however, I do think they will bounce back in round 2 against the Jets.
