Spezza, Kerfoot, Nylander and of course, Jack Campbell, will carry this team to an emotional game 7 win. Looking at the last 3 game 7s the Leafs played, I dont feel confident with Matthews and Marner pulling through, however, I do think they will bounce back in round 2 against the Jets.

This is how I see it as well, IF they win, it won't be much to do with Matthews or Marner. I'm not sure what will happen for them to magically be awesome in game 7. They've been avg to below avg this whole series. Its those players you named that have been there the whole series.

This is the guy who will lead them. Straight into the camera, eyes open wide, direct, confident "This happens for a reason". Unless he's shot before game time, he's the guy that will turn this around.

Thanks for creating this.

Leafs have shown the Habs are easily shaken. Leafs will get on the scoreboard first, like they usually do. Habs will open up chasing the game, Leafs will come out of the 2nd with a 2 goal lead. Then the Leafs will defend well in the 3rd like they usually do and win with a 3 goal lead.

That’s the recipe and the boys will come to play, like they usually do this season.

You're welcome. 7'15' until we start it up. Damn, I'm nervous, it's going to be a topsy turvy night of sleep :laugh::laugh:

But I'm confident, too. Damn, I love this team, the longest relationship I've had in my life :help::eek::laugh::thumbu:

GLG!

Today is a drinking day - this bottle of scotch isn't going to drink itself.

I don't want to be anywhere near sober by the time puck drops.

Now I'm curious, what dram have you got going?
Bulleit. If I finish this before 7, I guess I switch to gin.

Just settling in now. I put some Johnny Cash on, closed all the drapes and lights....

It's really the only way to enjoy a game 7.

555, which we pronounce as hahaha in Thailand. Just as long as it's not 'Hurt' by JC, too dark, brilliant, but too dark 555

Good night folks. It's been a pleasure. It's outta our hands, but I know all of you are going to rally to the dream. Leafs in 7!

You're at your keyboards, warriors all, but just once, because you want to, close your eyes and whisper "Go Leafs Go!"

See you at the drop of the puck. Cheers.

The Leafs have come back from being down 3-1 vs the superior team Boston twice before and losing in game 7.
It's only fitting for the Leafs to get this monkey off their backs, they blow a 3-1 series lead to the underdog before winning it in game 7.

Hello,

Welcome, relax, sit back and take a break from the stress outside. When I last checked, 10 out of the first 11 threads on the main page were all singing the blues: last chance, criticism, game 7 is irrelevant, choke artists, you get the idea.

Not here. I happen to think the Leafs will win game 7, and when they do it will change things. I'm not blind, the last two games have been embarrassing. And, were so used to seeing them lose. I'm worried about Muzz and what happens if he's out in game 7. But, I think they're going to win. They had a great season. Matthews can be lethal, we know that. Marner can dazzle and hasn't. Nylander is playing so well, as are Rielly, Brodie, Jack, and Spezza's a treat. We have more talent and, I think, some veterans who are now going to take control. I think it's already started. Nick Foligno staring into the camera and saying 'it's not acceptable' was the moment. No offense to Tavares, Rielly, Spezza and others, it was the right, blunt assessment this team needed to hear. I think he starts with Matthews and Marner and leads them to playing better. Things pick up speed from there.

So if you've got a reason why you think the Leafs are going to win, take down Winnipeg, and who knows from there, cross your fingers, share your thoughts, it's going to be a bumpy 34 hours till game time.

Go Leafs Go!

OP is the Hero this fanbase needs but don't deserve

If we don't start well I'm just gonna put the game on in the background and play NHL 21 instead.

I'm pretty terrible but losing online to some sh1t talkers in nhl21 is far easier on the soul than the alternative.

In all honesty, I still don't understand how we're here.

The Leafs have completely, and utterly dominated the Habs.

Montreal still hasn't scored a goal that they worked to score.
Giveaways leading directly to goals (including both OT winners), scrambles in front of the net, 2 power play goals including a 5 on 3.

At the same time, Toronto has had large spells where they are completely buzzing and just can't break through the glass.

It's time to start priming.

I know I have 2 zoom meetings left but priming early always makes the game more tolerable.

Cheers!

For all the controversy and moaning regarding the people in attendance, let's all hope the Leafs put on a show for them, that they are not the typical occupants of the Platinums and make noise.
Also, it would be nice to see people in the seats at the start of the periods as well, you know, for once!

I have faith that Toronto wins.

Did you watch the first two periods of game 6?

Its to talk a big game when hes brought next to nothing to the lineup. Was thrilled when the trade happened but hes damaged goods.

I could feel the positivity as soon as I clicked on the link. of course I only read the Ops post just to be safe...

I feel they get it done tonight... I don't know who steps up, hope it is 34 and 16... but at the end of the day, I cheer for the Leafs and whoever is wearing their jersey at the time. So, if it happens to be Spezza, Kerfoot, Engvalll... it's all good with me.

I really think they need A series win... get that chip of their shoulder... and then play the way they have shown then can without those game 7 losses hanging over their heads.

Wouldn't it be something if the PP could get a goal or two as well? 34 from 16 on the PP!!

Go Leafs. It's time for this team to take the next step!

The game where the Habs had 15 shots in the first period and then 16 total for the other 3?

Interesting perspective. I don't give a shit about the Habs so I saw it as the game where the Leafs looked completely useless for the entire first period and most of the second.

I think they are mentally defeated already.
Only thing that can save them is a lucky bounce or three early.
Or maybe I’m the one that’s mentally defeated.
