Sounds about right. All the guys ahead of him are more well rounded. If he can take the next step mentally this year, then watch out. Centers can age like a fine wine. They play such an integral role in the defensive zone, and that take yewrs to master for most centers. I'd imagine it's an even bigger learning curve for a winger turned center.

I can relate to Tage’s dad not wanting him to be a goalie. My daughter wanted to give it try. She wasn’t lit up by a pro, but rather a girls team that was a complete mismatch for us. It was so bad they eventually started aiming to hit my daughter so they wouldn’t score. It certainly cured her desire to be a goalie.

As an aside, Bergeron seems like such a quality person.

How old was your daughter when she started really getting into hockey? Mine is about 6 and she only likes watching because i let her stay up late with me

I had 3 daughters who played. They were rink rats for a few years watching their older brother play before they asked (He is the Josh in joshjull). They would watch games with me and/or their brother if I was working nights.

They asked to play when they were 7, 8 and 9yrs old respectively. But it was too late into the season to get them into a league. They started the summer after in a Pepsi Kids learn to skate+ play hockey program. The one who had that wonderful goalie experience is my middle daughter. She’s the one taking the shot in my avatar.

Thanks for sharing that. That’s cool as hell
