This is the first game, for me, where it felt like the Devils are playing a better team; not necessarily a better collection of skaters. This team is impressive and get their best assets in great positions. LEARN FROM THIS GAME. I just don't see 2-4 dumbass plays per period from the Bruins.

You don’t see it because the puck stayed out of the net. Bruins have had some dumbass plays and it should be 3-1 with the devils on the powerplay of the refs know what a trip looks like.

First period - Devils CF% 70 - 1 goal
Second period - Bruins CF% 63 - 4 goals

These stats tell you everything you need to know. We can dominate, but we cant close the games like some other top teams. We can have a 3rd period with like CF% of 80 or something and watch us score one goal. Then we can say that oh we dominated most of the game, which would be correct but we had nothing to show for it at all.

We dont even need finishers per se. We need more shoot first type of players. That alone would generate more chances, which we need a lot of.

Even with the screen he was off his angle against the shooter. Top left corner was wide open. Any good shooter will snipe that.

Say what you want about blackwood that’s fine but reality is they weren’t winning the game 1-0. Nico couldn’t finish woods couldn’t finish tatar couldn’t finish bratt couldn’t finish. Team needs a goal scorer and I think they are easier to find then a true 1 starter

Not Blackwoods fault we can't score. This team had multiple chances and can't bury anything. That is the number 1 reason we have been losing. It sucks that our defense is banged up but still it doesn't look as good as it did the first 20ish games.

Blackwood could of had thar 2nd or 4th goal. We literally should of went up 2 to 1 but Boston makes is 2 to 1 in their favor. Big momentum swing right there. Team can't bury goals enough latley and the goaltending has been subpar. Somethings gotta give.

2 terrible goals against, both Pasta goals were bad. 1st goal and 4th goal were terrible coverage in front, but you want your goalie to make a big save on one of those in this league.

Yeah, but you're cutting out the part where Siegenthaler let's him go 10 feet from right to left untouched.

He was playing so far back and gave Pasta way too much time and space.

he isnt under contract next year. ? Why the he’ll are they forcing him in the lineup we have better goalies available

He's an RFA with a qualifying offer of something between $3-$4 million.

2nd goal is 100% on Blackwood. The 4th goal is not on the goaltender. You can’t give the puck away to Brad f***ing Marchand behind your net and leave a man wide open on the near post. That goal is on Bahl.

Second goal is so infuriating because it’s a play a seasoned goalie should make in their sleep because they practice that shit and do not let it happen in games. It’s the f***ing lazy non-chalant attitude that Blackwood gives off that you can see leaks into his play.
