I’m watching this game at TD Place and feel bad for #23, he’s had a few bad turnovers for the Swiss

Well that sucks. Muggli has been playing way to nonchalant all tournament. But lets face it. You can't expect to win against the Slovaks and only score once. This game was as much lost by not scoring enough as it was by that turnover. The guys looked exactly like the senior team in this one.
If I'm coaching, Bünzli and Muggli are on the next flight home. Bye bye and thanks for nothing. Mistakes can happen but not all game long...especially with the effort level trending towards zero. You can't give away pucks all game long and then do nothing to get them back. They're turnovermachines and puck watchers at the same time.
Switzerland lost because of those two guys and those two only. That's just the reality. They were the weak links. Everybody else played a great game.
Settle down tough guy, they've been mainstays on the Switzerland 05s for years. Great way to lose the locker room over one bad game, it's not like there are multitudes of better players sitting at home.If I'm coaching, Bünzli and Muggli are on the next flight home. Bye bye and thanks for nothing.

You can move kids down the lineup, even scratch them the way it works this year with the rule change, but cutting a player mid-tournament and publicly humiliating a kid like that is not the answer. There are plenty of better players. Gian Meier for example who dominated the WJC18, then made Frölunda Göteborg this season. Nic Balestra is a very good defenseman but, as the 7th defenseman, barely played in this game.
Everybody has a bad game. My problem is that they had a bad game with the effort lvl trending towards zero. If you're struggling you have to up the intensity and battle, not give in and start puck watching.
yes the turnover was horrible and we can discuss muggli/bünzli pairing all night long but if you score twice in 120 minutes of hockey you won't win that many games..... it's the lack of scoring more than anything else and that cannot be argued away

Yeah...if the Swiss stay out of the box then I like their chances. However, if the Swiss take more penalties they probably won't be lucky again to score themselves. Slovakia has more than enough skill to punish Switzerland on the PP. Switzerland has to solve the Bünzli/Muggli pairing as well or they'll bleed more goals.
