I like Austria's pressure PK..little bad luck with Pfeffer having that go off his skate and couldn't find it for a second.

Austria is going to need to address the PP if they want to spring an upset...would benefit from someone with a presence and shot in the bumper spot.

These could be the 2 weakest teams this year
There's a pretty clear bottom 4 .funny thing is that the Germans and Austrians have a top individual player while The Slovaks and Swiss do not.

Heck even the Czechs don't have a player like Rossi or Steutzle.. Maybe a clear top 5 and bottom 5..

Frankly, I think Swiss not separating themselves from the pack this year only makes for a more interesting competition. I don't expect anything from Austria in their group but Switzerland vs. Slovakia vs. Germany in group A should be a real dogfight.

Even though I agree with your sentiment in general since the teams are separated into to groups only half of it is relevant.

The Germans could have been a lot stronger but they’re one of the hardest hit teams with Covid. Losing Riechel is tough and not having Seider while not Covid related hurts them.

German hockey is heading in the right direction, no reason they should be a strong hockey nation.

Nino Kinder and Tobias Ancicka are huge losses for Germany too

Probably but you have not seen Slovakia and Germany play yet. Germany has Stutzle and Peterka yes but that's not really enough.
Well, that is enough to separate you from roughly equal teams who don't have Stutzle and Peterka. Which is what the talk has been about.

Was that a save? Only saw one replay, but it looked like the goalie got it with his glove, no?
