GDT: Switzerland - Latvia

Nah, we only have ourselves to blame. That 51 shot on goal game vs Kazachstan was so painful to watch, we just couldn't capitalize on our chances and that 1 missing point might kill our QF chances now.
 
For Latvia it would be a great success of course to win here. If they manage to keep the lead I indulge it Latvia. It's their home WHC and for a small country like Latvia it's a big success advancing to QF game.
Switzerland has won the group anyway and they play QF against Germany no matter how this game ends. So the QF is important for Switzerland not this one.

For sure, everything questionable by Latvia overlooked, and swiss can't breathe on them without the red eyes of the officials. I mean, it matters not to me, Canada isn't winning crap in this tournament.

I just find sports these days become less about the sport and more about business...or, ahem, sports entertainment as they refer to it these days

Entertaining game though! I've enjoyed these world's. They're fun to watch
 
Swiss certainly trying, but it's not as focused or as clinical as we have seen from them. Taking lots of stupid penalties as well.

In other words, we are screwed
 
Hoping for a dominant third by the Swiss. They certainly did that vs us. It was even for 2 but in the third with the long change we just couldn't keep up and they kept us in our defenzive zone.
 
Couldnt watch the first periods and just tuned in. Score is a bit surprising despite the fact that the wizzards apprentice is giving some of the core players a pause. It will be interesting to see if they can turn the tide in the third. By the way, how has JVP looked so far?

I mean, even when we have our big player (like in 2019) our game against Latvia are always close!

JVP looked good but the second Latvian goal is a bit on him imo

Slovakia is getting bitten for their disgraceful effort against Kazakhstan. Hopefully heads will roll if they miss the Quarters.

They also had players who make the difference against you. Of those, it's basically Fiala only in this one.

Okay, so they were simply great, foot on the pedal team. We were one goal down, should have been facing that deficit and instead it was the Swiss cycling the puck in our own end and then empty net goal to top off the victory.
 
Latvia better stay out of the penalty box. I don't think they can handle many PKs. Swiss PP looked quite dangerous already.
