Exactly. That's why I'm wondering if it's still bothering him and if that's the reason for his bad performances at this tournament.
He had a good tournament he just wasn’t on the scoresheet because he was on by far the worst team in the tournament. I question if you watched any of the games. Was consistently Austria’s most noticeable player all over the ice.

The coach is clueless, he is day-dreaming and staring into the void.
Our coaches have something in common then:naughty: Finnish coach has done nothing all tournament except standing behind the bench looking like his whole family's just died. Sick of looking at him.

Winner of US-Slovakia vs winner of Russia-Germany
and
Winner of Sweden-Finland vs winner of Canada-Czech Republic

They reseed after the quarters. Here are the Seeds :

Canada (12)
U.S. (9)
Finland (9)
Russia (8)
Sweden (7)
Czechs (6)
Germany (5)
Slovakia (4)

Quarters :

Canada - Czechs
U.S. - Slovakia
Sweden - Finland
Russia - Germany

If Canada, the U.S., Sweden and Russia win...

Canada vs Sweden
U.S. vs Russia

If Canada, the U.S., Finland and Russia win...

Canada vs Russia
U.S. vs Finland

It would take Slovakia or Germany beating one of the US or Russia to change that though....which I would be comfortable betting a large amount of money on not happening. Solid 98%.
I think my projections are accurate...

If Canada, the U.S., Sweden and Russia win in the quarters...

Canada vs Sweden
U.S. vs Russia

If Canada, the U.S., Finland and Russia win in the quarters...

Canada vs Russia
U.S. vs Finland

I’m not a Minnesota Wild fan but I’ve watched almost every Austrian game this tournament and Marco Rossi has improved his play each match.

The game against Russia saw his line with Kasper & Peeters finally gel and it put all kinds of pressure on the Russian D all game. No, Marco isn’t putting up any stats, but he’s been heavily checked as the lone source of offence on his team and isn’t big enough to physically punish people. He uses speed and elusiveness.

I’m with @KaprizovSaveUs and I think he’s playing well. I think he’s going to be an NHL player in a year or two.

I was never high on the player to begin with. Was pretty underwhelming already when playing for GCK. But even I expected much more from him this tournament. If that's the best he can do, then the Wild should be worried. Yeah, Austria isn't the best team but he wasn't even the best forward on his team. In none of the games he was a factor. It's not like the Wild is gonna be a good team this season. He'll be facing stronger opposition for most of the season so the situation will be similar.

I really think it must still be covid. He can't possibly be this bad. If he is, he has zero business at NHL level...at least for now and on a bad team.

Canada Russia final would be nice, but I think this US team is going to walk over all comers to the Gold.

Lol
gonna be a weird epic game on Saturday.
We are f*cked if Heinola doesn't return from getting shot in the wrist.. But yeah i hope it'll be a entertaining one.

I hope to see Lambert with Lundell that game, that would be our most serious threat..

Yeah I think you are right. I forgot about the Finns being 3-1 with 9 points which puts them ahead of the Russians. Things stay the way they are the top 5 would seed as:
1:Canada
2:USA
3:Finland
4:Russia
5:Sweden

Well..

I got what I wished for - Canada won in regulation, so will the U.S.

Now I just need Sweden to pull itself together and beat Finland and all will be well.

It shouldn't be surprising that a player who excels when playing off his teammates abilities can't do a whole lot when the rest of his team looks like boys against men in this tournament. He'll be fine, but we appreciate your concern.
