They have a chance...it's just not a good one. If they get good production from their top line and solid goal tending coupled with Russia having an off day (they have a history of playing down to opponents) then it's possible Germany could pull an upset....but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.
There is usually an upset in the quarters - or maybe I am misremembering.

Can't see Canada or the U.S. losing. Maybe, like you said, the stars align and Germany wins.

Yeah, none of this is true. He also wasn’t scratched, he had Covid. He played three games for them and was on their 2nd line and their 1st power play.

Two of them were cup games. He played one league game in almost two months. That's not just covid. And I wrote that it's covid related myself. But he was scratched way beyond his quarantine and looked awful playing a cup game vs a minor team. He was just as awful at this tournament. So you wonder if it's still covid bothering him.

I think Sweden is the lower seed with the best chance of winning...but they certainly haven't been inspiring tonight (then again neither was Finland)

Yeah, I have read your posts and honestly don't know what game you are watching.

Every single Turcotte shift ends in offensive possession and chances created due to his work. Zegras has been using his high end skills to capitalize on the space and time created by Turcotte's play. Its been a dominant performance.

Faber has been excellent, but no, no credible opinion says that Boldy or Beniers are in that conversation.
What would Zegras do, if it weren't for Turcotte doing everything for him?

Sanderson is really good. Guy is a serious player. Stutzle and Sanderson from this draft? Friggin’ amazing for the Sens.

What a dumb ass question.

TSN reporter notes that Zegras is up with Modano and Rolston and asks what he thought of them at this tournament.

Zegras says he doesn’t remember them specifically at this tournament but played with Rolston’s son Ryder for a couple of years and got to know Brian well.

Modano was a junior like what, 30 years ago?
Mike Modano 1st overall 1988 draft born 1970!
