so, all indications are that sorensen has been playing well, but i'm still worried about the fact that he was a late add. People dont like admitting they made a mistake.

Anyone know when final cuts are?

Wouldn't be surprised to see him with two other Brynas players in J.Larsson and Rensfeldt on the third line, makes sense to me anyway. Coach has said he'll going to roll four even strengthened lines as much as possible though, with adjustments as the game progresses.

If he's with San Antonio at the time he'll come, but I think he's with Phoenix right now. Sweden will wait as long as possible.

Having a Larsson - Rensfeldt - Wännström line makes sense to me too. They're all capable of both being in a scoring or checking role, so considering that Sweden has other forwards that are more specialized scorers I'm not expecting any of them to be a main contributor on offense. It wouldn't upset me if any of them proves me wrong, though...

Coach Rönnberg has said that he hopes to get a definite answer on OEL's status by Saturday.

The last intrasquad game will be played today but the camp won't end until Friday, so the final cuts probably won't be made public until Friday afternoon (local time).

I like Österberg's (Sweden's best junior-blogger) team.

Adam Larsson - Tim Erixon
John Klingberg - Patrik Nemeth
Simon Bertilsson - Klas Dahlbeck
Jonas Brodin

Jesper Fasth - Calle Järnkrok - Gabbe Landeskog
Rickard Rakell - Anton Lander - Johan Larsson
Patrik Cehlin - Oscar Lindberg - Carl Klingberg
Mika Zibanejad - Joakim Nordström - Max Friberg
Markus Sörensen

Maybe I would fit Wännström somewhere to.
Really like Joakim Nordström. Looks like a lock for the 4th C.
D looks solid. Maybe Brodin ahead of Dahlbeck tough, he has been playing great.

Has he been that good this year?
I'll rather take guys like Dahlbeck ahead of him when it comes to the more important games(read USA CAN). But yes maybe PP:s lacking a bit without him.

His production has been about the same as it was last year but his defensive play has been improving a lot.

Later today or tomorrow I think, one last evaluation game scheduled today. Could be some surprises among the last few forwards, so who knows.

It's not the production i'm worried about with him. It's the size. I don't care who scores in the group-stages. with or without him we are going to reach the Q / semis.

I want size on the D when we go againts 90kg Canadian forwards.

Last years D:

Peter Andersson: 190 , 88
Mattias Ekholm: 192 , 91
OEL: 188, 86
Tim Erixon: 189, 93
Lukas Kilström: 183, 80
Adam Larsson: 190, 100
David Rundblad:189, 90

Where even then i tought we didn't manage to match the physical play fully. Kilström as a shutdown-D was the smallest then. But he uses his body better then Almqvist imo.

I don't know, this is the first game I'm watching and Gustafsson is getting lit up, but his team is certainly not helping.
I think he will go as a 3rd goalie though.

Johan Larsson will probably go imo.

You never know...
Wow. Having Nemeth AND Klingberg on the Swedish blueline would be a nice thing to see for us Dallas Stars fans. Especially since Klingberg was taken where he was, for him to make the team would be awesome.

My stats are not correct  No, but there are many 2nd assist that u just can't see. And the commentators have trouble with all the names still. And no scoreboard around, so many assist is lacking in my sheets. The Scorers are right except Sorensen scored instead of brodin y-day but i see you have that corrected. Who scored 4-1 last game btw? the only one i missed.

Yes Larsson played game 1 and 3

For game 1 and game 2 I used the official stats on Swehockey.
For game 3 I used the stats of your post, but I will update my post according to the official stats, once they put on the web.
