I don't mind the suspension, its an illegal and unnecessary hit.
It's the length of suspension and extreme inconsistency of how they apply their rules.
Last minute of play in the 6th game. When does Bettman have to rule on an appeal?
They’ll probably knock it down a game.F--cking joke.
Hope the appeal is successful.
Just expressing gratitude and admiration is enough of a gesture, throwing him the equivlant of a quarter is meaningless and I can't see Spezza accpeting it.
My guess as well. They’ll probably knock it down a game.
Morgan gets 2 mins for nudging. Yet 4 officials can't see a blatant knee on knee to the player shooting the puck.
I remember what my mama always told me. ‘it’s the thought that counts, petey.’ This sentiment has always held me in good stead
There is no excuse, the refs just had the leafs seeing red, nonsensical calls, the leafs had seen this gong show before and were not going to take itI have no defense for what Spezza did. The intention seemed obvious.
There seems to be a recent pattern: Leafs' players get targeted, Leafs push back and get much worse penalties. I'm not even sure historically it's necessarily a Leafs' thing. It's been the cement head hockey way to allow the aggressing team leeway to push past the line only to start calling the penalties after the other team starts pushing back.
Then maybe they should start cracking down properly on the pissants who cause it.DOPS doesn't like targeted hits, that's for sure.
They don't like players taking things into their own hands.
Pionk taking out Sandin with his knee ... in front of absolutely everyone . No call was weird. Then maybe they should start cracking down properly on the pissants who cause it.
