What the f*** are they whining about? They set the odds in the first place, they only have themselves to blame if they end up having to pay out a ton of money.

The idiots ‘forgot’ to put down the plastic layer between the ground and turf which is why it’s so soft.
Just shows the logistics and coordination involved in getting ready to host the SB and that not every new venue can handle it.

Each city has to have 2 practice facilities for the 2 teams. In SF probably either Stanford or SJ state is used. NO is likely LSU. Miami the Hurricanes. Atl, GA Tech.

But figure the nfl would have a checklist that each site would get so that it’s all taken care of.

It's also bad luck, the field would've been fine if not for a rare 5 straight days of rain here because of the atmospheric river.

First time headaches for everything. NFL teams have indoor and outdoor facilities. Colleges, depends on the quality of the program. UNLV isn't at that high a level to get everything that say an LSU can for example.

NO would probably be Tulane. LSU is over an hour away from downtown NO.

I'm surprised there isn't some place to see what the second practice location would be for past SBs and future ones.

There's like 8 or so regular locations like LA, SF, AZ, Hou, NO, ATL, TB, Mia with one offs in Dal, NY, Det, Ind, Min, and now LV over the past 20 years or so.

At Sofi, would have been Rams/Chargers facilities. SF, guess SJ State. Stanford might be a bit too far. AZ, ASU or Arizona. Houston, the Cougars are not a big program like A&M, Longhorns. ATL, GA Tech. Mia, the Hurricanes. TB, which is the closest college program to them?

But, does seem to indicate that there can be a drastic difference in the facilities if there is not a big top 25 college program around.

Not sure why, but this topic interested me and I started looking up some of the recent game info.

I was mostly curious how they handled the Rams a few years back when they played at SoFi, but were considered the road team. They got to keep their practice facility and the Bengals used UCLA.

When NO last hosted, the Ravens practiced on a makeshift, 80 yard field at Tulane's baseball stadium before eventually sharing the Saints facility.

The game at Sofi used UCLA. You're right with GA Tech, Miami and ASU. Last Houston Super Bowl, they actually used U of Houston and Rice and with SF, they used SJ State and Stanford. So sometimes both teams get a college practice site.

For Tampa. The last super bowl was during the covid year, so the road team stayed home until game day. But in 2009, the road team practiced at the University of South Florida.

Chiefs will do the same

Nice to see that we have 2 of the biggest underdogs in the Super Bowl

LA moving forward as the chargers have new facilities, probably end up using both the nfl teams. We will see with SF in 2 years as Levis will host the 2026 one. Think the SF facilities were not open yet for the Den/Car game. No reason for both clubs to use college ones.

But for sure can see some glaring differences for the road team’s facilities given how much those respective schools can spend on football vs the more elite schools.

And it’s always funny when it comes from teams largely picked to be here in the preseason. Or the guy drafted #1 overall who says nobody believed in him.

My favorite was Georgia last year when they spouted off how people said they’d go 7-5 a year after winning the national championship

I picked against the Chiefs the last 2 games, not doing that again. KC wins and the 49ers become part of that "that team can't win the big one'' conversation.

Kadarius Toney officially health scratched this morning

Should have shut his mouth till the offseason , what an idiot
1) Would have maybe got him in the lineup
2) would have helped him in free agency

Surprised KC didn’t cut him after his little IG live rant after the AFCCG.

If anyone watches FinnFTW on YouTube, the 49ers win 14-11.

Kinda wouldn't be surprised if we get a score like that. But I think the Chiefs win, I'll say 19-15 because why not?
