In time for the Super Bowl, whoopee. The state is dawdling and wasting another lucrative NFL season.
Could be worse, here in California the state house has avoided legalizing sports betting due to lobbyists, and now on the ballot this November are two confusing and contradictory propositions regarding sports gambling which probably won't pass. One would legalize sports betting but only onsite in tribal casinos and the second would legalize online betting like Draftkings etc. If they both pass then they'll contradict each other and it'll end up in litigation and there will be a delay in implementation as long as it takes the courts to figure it out (which is probably a year plus). But they're unlikely to pass (especially online betting) as of the last polls I saw because the Indian lobby wants to quash competition from online gambling companies and are spending millions on these pathetic attack ads with moms that are basically "think of the children!" as if a 12 year old could even sign up for a draftkings account.

Whenever I go home to NH to visit I end up dropping $25 on some games on Draftkings (and always lose)

11 1/2 hour shift. No lunch one break. Not mad thats $$$$$$

Im mad people on my crew are slow and I have to share % with them when im doing their work.

Now to sleep cuz I gotta be back in 12 hours

It is also illegal. You need to take your mandated breaks. Working straight through not only is bad for your overall health but your company could get hammered for non enforcement.

I believe one of the guys is going to talk to management about it. Cuz we were working and some people were just standing around laughing. Also mentioned one break made him mad. Were a 5 man crew. One guy I believe new to America and another is young so theyre probably being taken advantage of. 1 other guy just wants to work. Me im new and dont know FL worker laws(which I should change) then there is the dude from NY. Hes the one going to management if anyone goes.

Right, if you're working 11 hours with no breaks, file a complaint because that must be a violation of the FLSA.

I'd get a copy of your company's policy of breaks b/c Florida law states that an employee over the age of 18 is not required to offer meal and rest breaks. The Federal Law essentially leaves it up to each state.

If you don't have a policy around breaks then you need to be a squeaky wheel and that is all I can say before this goes into the forbidden area.

Shockingly it isn't. I'm absolutely floored and perturbed.

Let me know if you desire some quiet breathwork. I'd be happy to Zoom. :) blessings.

love it and may just take you up on this, been working on meditating, work in progress when the mind is a hamster wheel, thanks as always
I try to meditate every day, if you need a suggestion, try The Honest Guys on YouTube. My psychologist recommended them and there are dozens of choices.

LOS ANGELES — Judy Tenuta, a brash standup who cheekily styled herself as the “Love Goddess” and toured with George Carlin as she built her career in the 1980s golden age of comedy, died Thursday. She was 72.

Ms. Tenuta died Thursday afternoon at home in Los Angeles, with her family around her, publicist Roger Neal told The Associated Press. The cause of death was ovarian cancer.

“She was a very funny, amazing performer," Neal said, and it was always a “happy time to be around her."

Ms. Tenuta had claimed her birthdate as Nov. 7, 1965, but she was born in 1949, Neal said. “She was old school so she would never tell her real age, but now that she’s gone we can tell her real age,” he added.

Believe 2 breaks and a lunch. My crew most of us dont care about lunch. We want our breaks tho. However when it comes to break its up to us to decide when to go and we just go. Its just we all been busy and wrapped up in working. I feel weird just going to break and not tell anyone like I have been told to do.

Im used to west coast where its a break every 2 hours and management makes u go. Here its all on u to take ur breaks.

You have Google right on your phone. Stop playing small and take your breaks.
