Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part IV

Thanks for the input, not sure we see it the same way or care though. I’ve never seen a series where the other teams’s posters feel the need to pollute our thread. Unless you come in peace without demeaning our players or adding intelligent discussion, I would think I speak for most of us when I say your’e not welcome. Sorry if there’s isn’t enough intelligent discussion to keep you occupied on your board and don’t play innocent, you’re stirring up shit and you know it.
And this just proves my point that a made a few days ago. The Kingston fans are classless. You can disagree without being patronizing, arrogant and rude. Especially towards players. It’s called respect, something they don’t have. Calling players losers, plugs and whatever else they’ve said. I’ve been on their forum, but haven’t replied once you know why? Because I could care less about their opinion. They’re obsessed with Street, but say he’s a non factor, yet have his name in their mouth all the time or feel the need to reply when his name is mentioned lol.. Street is living in their head rent free!! Maybe they’re fans 🤔

Not aware of any investigation.
Sudbury's social media team removed all the comments within a couple hours so it appears to be a non issue.
You could probably connect with their social media admin if you wanted details or insight into why they had to hide it. -It's to bad they didn't leave it in their comment's so people could see how pathetic that person is.
Social media team??? Good one😂

Looking back on the wolves draft selections over the last few years with Papineau at the helm, I think it would be an obvious choice to keep him around as he has had great results turning picks into OHL players. As stated above I also feel that with the way the first half went and having Musty showing up physically and mentally to the team, it was worth the shot to bolster the defense and snag Mews. Hindsight is 20/20 and it isn't working out as planned I'm sure. I hate seeing Protz excel in a different jersey, hate seeing BIshop eat up major minutes against us in the playoffs and losing Jackson will hurt for a while, but no risk, no reward. As a season ticket holder I am not happy with a first round exit but I am much more interested in watching this team progress with the current coaching staff than than the McKenzie era.

Put Marshall in, Delic is still hurt hope he doesn't put himself in a position to harm his future. Pharand doesn't deserve top line or PP minutes. Let Street play early and punish their D, put him in front of the net. Make Shenckel fight to see and get some shots. And lets cross our fingers the zebras don't give reason to deflect responsibility.
I'm guessing Delic is dressing to put on the uniform one last time in case this is our last home game of the season, and I doubt he will play much. If he was truly good to go without risking further injury, he would have already been in there battling his heart out for the team.
And same goes for Chucky. This could be his last home game and I think he deserves the start.
Goaltending has not been our problem.
If my numbers are correct, we have only scored more than two goals once in our last nine or ten games, and that was the three in the double OT loss on Sunday. Not going to win too many games without scoring.

Or we question his contribution when it appears to be intent to injure/intimidate.

Why do you get so worked up over it? Ignore or mute if it is such a pollution to your thread. The fact that I had a post reported shows how overly sensitive people get.

I agree Chucky has played well, but that’s too bad goals in two games. We lost three straight, why not try Marshall

Kid has been playing like that all season and guess what? No suspensions or majors, only fighting majors. If they kept track of hits he’d probably be at the top. What’s wrong with him wanting to intimidate? As a hockey player, you want to be intimidating.

Made the most of my last game. Cheered loud and proud. Hope I can figure out how to get them on the TV in England.

I'll be taking a break from this place for a while. Thanks, everyone for another great season of talking hockey. I learn a lot from these forums and enjoy my time here. Have a good offseason! Go Wolves!

you can get a CHL subscription and watch, nice to see your enthusiasm. Good Luck, don't be a stranger.

Last we'll see of
Delic
DeAngelis
McCoy
Krawchuk
Ziliotto

99% chance the last we'll see of:
Musty
Molnar

Likely gone to OA Crunch:
Street
Ewles

Maybe the last we'll see depending on what NCAA rumors you believe:
Mews
Villeneuve
Walton

End of another season, cheers to everyone.

Delic was a beast out there tonight....sad to say he was the best hitter tonight. The guy is just so dedicated to winning and you can see his attitude even during their entry skate as he speeds past everyone. He will be missed.
Pharand was actually playing hockey and played very well wish he would have shown that all year.
Musty didnt disappoint with his ability to lose the puck four feet into the opponents zone. Ive never been a fan just because of his attitude towards his teammates, the coaching staff and the officials. I guess I was spoiled by watching Byfield and seeing how he handled himself and happily played for the sudbury wolves and it shows it in how he is successful in the nhl. Musty needs to mature considerably. And for those who dont like my comments about him talk to the billets and his school teachers.
Villeneuve though he gets into penalty trouble occasionally is one heck of a tough hockey player. His passion is unmatched and I look forward to seeing him next year.
Walton..not sure what I think of him. He is talented and uses an huge hockey stick. Played very well until the NHL draft then seemed to regress after being drafted. Reminded me of Justin Sefton that played really well and if you tried to enter the zone you would find yourself in about the 5 th row of the stands with his body checks. Once drafted he faded into obscurity and disappeared. I hope Walton doesnt follow the same path. Look forward to seeing him improve next year.
Coughlan is the Brad Marchand of the team...I wasnt a fan early on but now when he stays out of the box
is a force to be dealt with.
DeAngelis...I am a fan....calm and cool and doesnt get the praise he deserves...good luck in the future.
Mews...a waste of so many draft pics...talented yes but not worth the cost
Krawchuk ....after facing 31.5 shots a game over the regular season did extremely well considering what he had to face...I wish him well
Look forward to next year with Blonda.. Chitaroni..Henderson..Di Giantommaso..Clayton...extremely talented players that are the future of this club and I look forward to next year.
As far as coaching right now Barney is the man and I like what I see...Papineau has to go.
Ill step off my soapbox now....
