Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part III

don’t wanna ask a stupid question but lol if any of our imports that didn’t report decided they wanted to report could they still report?

Unfortunately Brehmer isn't better than anyone currently on the Wolves, including APs like Kohan, Walker etc.

Wow .. definitely a quiet trade deadline. And agreed, happy with the Mews deal. Always noticed him on the ice with Ottawa... Honestly thought he was older. Nice deal.

The first sign that Musty is upset he wasn't traded? Where's my tinfoil hat

Don't get me wrong, I want him here because his office is off the charts, but we have been rolling pretty good without him, so if he doesn't end up playing another game with the wolves, I wont be all that broken up about it.

Mews will fit right in, now with Musty and Vilaneaux it’ll be a competition to who’s gonna be the biggest Whiner. Get lots of soothers and tissues.

Musty and Mews on the PP will feed families

Excited to see Mews in a Wolves jersey! Gotta pay up for top players like this. Can't wait to see him QB our PP.

I'm not sure what to make of the NCAA talk but if he comes back next season this is a steal for the Wolves. This would really help next year when we lose DeAngelis & McCoy. If Mews is back then this team could be better next year than this year by the looks of it (accounting for the fact that Musty hasn't really played this year).

Roberts will make our team tougher to play against from the sounds of it. Seems like a possible OA candidate depending on how things go. I like that both of these players may be back next year.

Exciting moves today and a good job by Papineau. He gets a lot of flack (some of it is definitely deserved) so it is only fair he gets praise for this. Improved the team and addressed needs without completely mortgaging the future. Really liked Jackson as a player, but that's the cost of business and best of luck to him. Can't wait to watch Mews, he will be a huge difference maker. Roberts will add much needed toughness. Let's go!

Nah, Therrien still wears a puke green jersey. That is your biggest crybaby in the OHL.

Lines for tonight

Walton - Delic - Pharand
Molnar - Chitaroni - Coughlan
Booth - Dean - Henderson
Brehmer - - Street

DeAngelis - mcCoy
Roberts - Mews
Ewles - Blonda
O'Dell

Musty and Clayton out with injuries. Villeneuve sitting game out for suspension.
Those three forwards will help things when they return.
