Will be sent down to Junior A if he hasn't already, should be announced soon
Is Spencer Horgan getting traded?
He's now with the Cubs. Call up if needed to the wolves. Will continue to practice with the big club.Is Spencer Horgan getting traded?
The Paper Kings (One of the wolves affiliates i think, they were a year or 2 ago) traded him to the Greater Sudbury Cubs (another affiliate) where he is playing tonight and has a goal.Probably not traded just sent back down. 19 and 6 games at this level. 2 this year.
Just an update looked into it the wolves are no longer affiliated with the paper kings although we do have a prospect there. The Paper Kings (One of the wolves affiliates i think, they were a year or 2 ago) traded him to the Greater Sudbury Cubs (another affiliate) where he is playing tonight and has a goal.
The Cubs are LOADING up for a repeat of NOJHL champions.
Great deal for the Cubs, and also for Horgan as a 19 year old to get the opportunity to play on a team like that. Don't really think this is the best thing for the league, but I understand why certain teams have to make these type of financial moves to stay afloat. NOJHL has always had some parity issues, but the Cubs are on an entirely different level to everyone else this year. Good on them though.. amazing team on paper. The Paper Kings (One of the wolves affiliates i think, they were a year or 2 ago) traded him to the Greater Sudbury Cubs (another affiliate) where he is playing tonight and has a goal.

They are alot of players returned from last year, they have taken the best offensive defenseman and the NOJHL scoring leader from last season and replaced Chitironi with Walker who is still putting up almost ppg numbers as a 16 year old.Great deal for the Cubs, and also for Horgan as a 19 year old to get the opportunity to play on a team like that. Yes, they have a great team for sure. They already had the top team and bought the best player in the league, arguably the top dman (definitely the best offensively) and they also just paid another fee to bring in a very good goalie from Stoufville (OJHL). It is impressive the roster they have, I just wish there was more parity in the league to make the games better to watch. That is all I meant. Will be interesting to see if they can do some damage this year at the Centennial Cup (assuming they get there). They are alot of players returned from last year, they have taken the best offensive defenseman and the NOJHL scoring leader from last season and replaced Chitironi with Walker who is still putting up almost ppg numbers as a 16 year old.
I was there for the championship game was an amazing atmosphere.
Very good point on the parity. Was thinking the same thing recently. They are alot of players returned from last year, they have taken the best offensive defenseman and the NOJHL scoring leader from last season and replaced Chitironi with Walker who is still putting up almost ppg numbers as a 16 year old.

It was a different level when they went for the National Championship, but they now have the experience, wouldn't be surprised to see a better showing should they make it again. Moxam has them playing great he has built quite the system there.Very good point on the parity. Was thinking the same thing recently.
As good as they are in the nojhl , it's a different animal with they play/ played for the cup. Others teams on another level.
