Say what you will but playing in a full barn that is rocking like last night has to be an amazing experience for our players. For the younger players, they get their first taste of a full barn and they must be pumped. Great game last night, #27 may have punched his ticket to World Juniors. Billy should get an invite as well, as he is much deserving. But is Team Canada ready for Villy? IMO, you win with players like him. A guy that is very sound defensively, wins face offs, will eat a puck if he has too and also has huge offensive upside. Total character/Team/Glue guy.
Unleash Villy back to his home town to play the Worlds best!
Listen, I understand the chances of Villy playing in WJC are close to zero because it’s a 19yr old tournament for the most part; however, the point I was trying to make is teams WIN with guys who play like him.
If I had a say, he’d be on my team. Maybe next season? Who knows.

Although I agree the players you mention are amazingly talented, they don’t bring the overall skill set Villy does. Honestly I can’t think of many comparisons. To me you are comparing bright shiny apples to a Unicorn Orange.Read I like the way Villeneuve plays too, but Villeneuve would not help Canada more than fellow ‘06s He and Spence or ‘07 Misa; and I think two of those three will not be getting the opportunity to represent Canada in that 19 yr old tournament this time.
