it's been awhile I've seen any OHL team play physical, shinny hockey every night, not like the old days.

EVERYTHING was better in the old days. Sorry for those of you who missed it.

Most teams would trade their last 25 years for WIndsor's in a heartbeat.

Again! Not as easy or feasible at the time as you appear to think. I’m more inclined to feel that way with the decision to move Touree over Vondras as I suspect that’s who you’re referring to.

A Gms job is to make those moves and yes it was very feasible other Gms found a way. How do you not address the goaltending disaster at the deadline. I know for a fact Kmac was not too happy.

Given the ridiculous pricing on the playoff tickets they must be having trouble getting season ticket holders to commit. Seems like they're calling season ticket holders directly, trying to get them to put down payment sooner rather than later.

Don't blame them for calling.... this was the 'year' so next year's expectations are lower - compound that with the potential impact of an early exit = season ticket holder exodus. The morale impact to fans is difficult to recover. 'Customers' have expectations, even Sudbury Wolves fans.

Tell ya what, give a tiered pricing scheme on Wolves tickets. If we don't win "x" games next year, we give you an "y" discount on the following year's season's tickets. Put your money where your mouth is.

The big question I have with opting in is when they plan to take my money.
Prior to this year, we have always received a significant discount for renewing early.
Sure seems like that may be gone.

My point had nothing to do with that. I remember when Sudbury and Windsor were pretty much the perennial basement dwellers until Compuware got involved, and then, of course, they never looked back with the new building.
I also remember when the London knights were no great shakes either.

How much are the tickets supposed to be? They already charged the first two came up to 56 bucks for me. Didn’t we have to buy the whole run of tickets last year when we don’t this year? Do share if you know more about this price increase.

They automatically renewed me for this season, so this isn’t new. I was going to renew anyway. There was still an early bird discount as well from what I remember.

Thinking about it we’re still going have some pretty good players available next season but that’s a discussion for another time, and hopefully more than a month from now!

A Gms job is to make those moves and yes it was very feasible other Gms found a way. How do you not address the goaltending disaster at the deadline. I know for a fact Kmac was not too happy.

Committed to strong Team defence in your own zone (non existent today), good against SSM. Also missing our best PK player should remind players to stay disciplined.
Please prioritize defence and protect the house/slot. Work harder in your own end than in other 2 zones. You can score, show us D.

Perhaps this should be hung in the dressing room.

Well if anyone hasn't seen it yet! The Wolves appealed the suspensions to Villeneuve and Konyen. Konyen was reduced to 6 games and will be able to return March 22nd. While Villeneuve will serve his entire 15 games, however 6 will be added to the start of the 2024-25 season, therefore he will return on the first game of the playoffs.

OHL Announces Results of Appeal Process Regarding Suspensions of Sudbury Wolves Players - Ontario Hockey League

The OHL today announced the results of an appeal process regarding suspensions previously assessed to Sudbury Wolves players.

Interesting appeal, don't understand the logic of moving some games to next year, but hey, it helps the Wolves, so I won't complain too much.

If Musty returns with Delic and two D as OAs, the wolves should be very competetive.

Are you sure? I I keep seeing in this thread that Musty is the worst player on the team.

Well if anyone hasn't seen it yet! The Wolves appealed the suspensions to Villeneuve and Konyen. Konyen was reduced to 6 games and will be able to return March 22nd. While Villeneuve will serve his entire 15 games, however 6 will be added to the start of the 2024-25 season, therefore he will return on the first game of the playoffs.

FYI in todays Ottawa Barrie game. Guess who was tossed for a 5 minute major head checking penalty. Hmmmm and no his hit was clean on Villeneuve. This league is so inconsistent in calling head shots. Can't blame Villy for being as upset as he was on the hit.

Zulich had nothing to do with the appeal. He might be the worst owner in the OHL. He's never even once met with any of his players. Think about that.

How's this for trading genius. Our GM last season gave away 5 picks including 4 unconditional for Michael Hage. Look it up. Michael is a family friend. He had ZERO interest in Sudbury.
Further,
Our GM gave up two picks for Joe Ranger. Then he waived Joe for no picks and Derek Brassard who was not playing and had been waived by 3 Q teams. Brassard was totally disliked by the Wolves teammates. Which brings me to Giroux. Our GM traded in a three way deal Toure, 6'7", for a changeroom disliked, 5'4" disruptive force is on the disengaged owner.
