Rock & Hardplace
At know time was this team ever a threat in this game, out played out shot. Vandenburg comes up with a stellar game and we score a whopping two goals against a team that played last night on the road with a time change. Every game we play less and less are teams intimidated by are lineup unless you are Windsor or Sarnia. Teams see us as under achievers and have no fear of facing us in a short series. Falling so short at the trade deadline worrying too much about next year will most likely seal are fate. You can have the fastest car in the race but you still need the driver. Hope Dario sees this at the end of the season or please sell to an owner who is not afraid of making obvious decisions.
Ha Ha. Don't think even Windsor is intimated. They scored 19 goals in 2 games against the Wolves.

It's ok Dirty ,we know youre really rooting for northbay 😉
How can you not? If the team in the smallest of the supposedly hard done by northern Ontario markets gets to the 3rd round it would be the 5th conference final appearance in 10 seasons.
There, the battalion can lose to the wolves. :)

Committed to strong Team defence in your own zone (non existent today), good against SSM. Also missing our best PK player should remind players to stay disciplined.
Please prioritize defence and protect the house/slot. Work harder in your own end than in other 2 zones. You can score, show us D.

Running out of time to figure things out in the defensive end. Playoffs will tell us everything about this team.

Sure is a lot of whining about commentators. The way some on here cry you think the commentators were playing. Really, can anything else be complained about?

Yes. Why is there no road broadcast? It may have prevented some complaining about the tv broadcasters.

I’ll be at the Barrie and Owen Sound game this weekend! Hoping for a better showing than my road trip to Sarnia/Windsor in January… mind you the Sarnia game was ok. Hoping Beau Jelsma is a healthy scratch lol

Maybe I will get ‘on’ the Barrie and Brampton bandwagon over the next couple seasons.
I would most certainly be on the wolves’ bandwagon if the team played the game it was built for. Do you think Delic, Villenueve, McCallum, Pharrand, Walton, Coughlan, Yearwood, Anania, Collins, VanVliet, McCoy, DeAngelis would follow if 200lb first line Dvorsky and Musty came out hitting to start the game?
Can you imagine?
The coach puts Anania on the wing to start to set the tone for a game against a team that had no more than 10 hrs between the time it got off the bus and had to be at the arena. Apparently the team did not get the message.

-Special teams big factor.
-Best players not our best players give that honour to Walton Pharand and Yearwood
-Giroux next to invible terrible body language
-Missing THREE key forwards a hell of a lot to overcome, will likely cost us the conference
-Vandenberg lucky but played well
Over and out.
I know he has had an injury but even then I'm not sure this deadline deal was really much of an upgrade to the overage situation. Boudreau, Toure, and Larmand I think we could have maintained one of them and the picks we sent out for Giroux. Hindsight its easy to say now.

At the time it seemed like he would come in to be the little spark plug we needed up front, and would add some dangerous offensive zone time. Not looking like much of an add at this point. Was really hoping it would.

Wouldn’t another high end import have looked good, a 19 yr old at that rather than keeping one that will see limited ice at best and filling that spot

Yes, didn’t consider the potential impact of the injury. Well he can only go up from here. Even talking to him, he didn’t seem too enthusiastic. Who knows what’s going on. We really need him to step it up now for sure because there’s no way he earned a letter in Flint playing like he has.

No, team didn’t play with anywhere enough urgency. Wonder if the lengthy suspensions have had an effect on the moral.
I’d like to see them pull together with an “us against the league” type mentality. I heard tell of an attempt at an appeal. Anyone else? Cant see it having the desired effect but would have liked to have been in on filing it. Ultimately don’t think the punishment fits the crime, specifically given it was a hypothetical threat and there are players…ahem Bolton who actively seek to bully and injure and receive less. Then again Hunter (one of the dirtiest rats to ever play though he has his jersey retired over more deserving playing players (Norm Milley comes to mind) isn’t our GM. Nor is Willie the whiner. Hopefully his pony is safe.

Again! Not as easy or feasible at the time as you appear to think. I’m more inclined to feel that way with the decision to move Touree over Vondras as I suspect that’s who you’re referring to.

I don't think the punishment fit the crime either - but I think to call it 'hypothetical' is wrong too.

I have not seen response from the Wolves organization. Did I miss it? Not even a quote? Hopefully suggests they are appealing it, but not even that has been announced. Hmmm.

Lots of free time and or money? Travelling salesman? Retired (think not) Student? Maybe. I’m a little envious though I’m considering going to Barrie and the Sound.
Do you know what’s up with ticket sales in Barrie? Never seemed too packed but there doesn’t appear to be many tickets left.

Not to be condescending but I’m using hypothetical in the sense of it being an existential threat rather than an actual physical infraction. Also I guess we’re the Guinea pig given the unprecedented nature.

Just a longtime Wolves fan who has time and a little bit of extra money to go watch some hockey. Also have a goal of seeing the Wolves play in every rink. I’m at 9/20 with this weekends roadie.

it's been awhile I've seen any OHL team play physical, shinny hockey every night, not like the old days.

Well I’m a longer time Wolves fan with not as much extra money as I’d like to have but no one will suffer for it and if….with if being the operative word I get motivated I can make it up and then some ;)I’m thinking of staying in Owen sound. Looks like you can get a pretty cheap hotel there. Sleep over there Saturday night and book it after the game. Have to be completely prepared to suffer two losses but being a Wolves fan it’s always been like that no matter when I’ve ever went on a road trip, except maybe back in the day when we went to North Bay in the 90s. They always had a better team than us but somehow we always played really well there and had a lot of support. Look up the records and you’ll see we were brutal everywhere else on the road.
