Liked them last year when I followed the Soo U15 team, especially MacDonald, but lost track of them this year with that team being torn apart with no U16 program.

Funny the Soo didn't take any local kids.

The Soo did pick up Ashcroft. His father is the son of former Inco CEO in Sudbury.

This years team kind of fights against that theory. We've had some great local kids in the past, but I don't think drafting local gives any real advantage.

What I'm really hoping is that we a defender who can come in next year and be that Anania or Ross. Log lots of ice time, block shots, great leaders on and off the ice and remain healthy.

Well we already have lots of OA's to move in the off season. Wolves will need DeAngelis to QB the PP to start the year. Wolves need to at least make the playoffs next year. If they are in the position to make the playoffs its possible they keep him otherwise they move him.

I just wish the Wolves never moved Protz. Would of been nice that they held onto him. That deal wasn't necessarily required to make imo.

Agree on the Protz deal. I don't think the player the bought in has that element they were looking for. Not overly physical imo. Not as mobile as Protz as well.

Will go down as one of Papineau's worst deals as a GM. Protz is a better player today, younger, and we gave up picks. Disastrous.

Guys going to be one of the most feared physical d-man in the OHL, a team would be silly to move him.

I feel like I can count on one hand how many times a player has been reacquired by their old team in the last 20 seasons. It's not often for sure.

yup. two peas in a pod. just a intuition I have, doesn't mean it's going to happen.
