Well, we are down to 26.... I believe the final figure is to be 20?

If so, who will be cut? Bishop may still be the odd man out on D...

If so, that leaves 5 forwards to go.... that does not look easy to pick 5... perhaps a multiple player trade for a single player upgrade? Imagine as well --- imagine --- if some of those imports had reported...

Who do you expect will be cut/ reassigned/ traded?
Here's my wild a** guess - without seeing them in action this year:

Bishop
Hollingsworth
Kieron Walton
Mauro
Trade:
McCallum?
Larmand?
Derbridge?

Geez. Not so simple.

Hollingsworth may go for a late pick. Not much value there but they may be looking for something rather than just send him down at that age.

Bishop will be sent down or dealt imo. We have too many dmen and I thought Protz and Bruce are good call ups in the event of injury. Walton will get lots of icetime in Esponola and will practice with the Wolves as well.

I can see the Wolves running with 4 extras. Mauro will stick maybe Di G might be up and down with Espo.

That leaves 2 or 3 forwards to go depending on how many you want to carry. I think you’re probably right that Hollingsworth gets sent down and one of the 19 year olds are traded.

Watching this so far, my main takeaway is Dylan Robinson is an absolute trainwreck with the puck. there's no way he's one of the 6 best d-men on this team...

Also, much better game by Krawchuk, he's been left out to dry a few times and shown well.

Yes had a rough game needs to keep things simple still preseason. Krawchuk looked comfortable. I thought Bishop was good. Walton and Debridge played well. Good performance by the Wolves.

Some stand outs today, Walton, Derbidge, Delic and Mania.

I still believe we need to add a solid dman. Not sold on Bishop, Robinson scares me, Anania is not as solid I think a 19 year old needs to be. A bit flat footed too. Hoover is in his first season. Holmes plays a quiet game. I really Collins and Mania. Maybe a deal with a dman and a couple forwards to land a couple pieces.

The Pete’s will look different come regular season. They didn’t have Lardis, Stillman, Avon and a top D in the line up. Also if see correctly they don’t have any OA’s. So expect them to add there. They will be stronger next time we play them.

3 points today

Robinson though had a couple moments he still got 3 points. Krawchuck seems to have the jitters out and played great. Delic, DeGrazia and Walton where my standouts in todays game. Overall great game by the Wolves

Yes he got points today mostly from PP time. Just something about his overall game that I’m not convinced that he would bring a solid season as an OA would be expected to.

Krawchuck played well enough today and even showed some aggressiveness when someone ran him in the second. Would like to see him not go down on his knees on every shot.

Anyway nice to see young players given time to kill penalties today. And get a regular shift. Noticed the assistants doing a lot of talking on the bench which is amazing to see.

Was at the game today. Cavan Monaghan Comm. Centre is a nice looking rink. Not sure how old but looks fairly new.

As for the game, both sides missing player's today , with the wolves having dressed more fire power.

I believe Hoover got hurt early and never returned

As for the defense they looked pretty good. Bishop probably needs more seasoning whereever they decide is best for his development.

I don't mind Anania at all. He's physical and I like his style of play. That player he fought was no small fry. Could see him playing as an OA for the wolves. Mania is good. Definitely see him drafted this spring. Very talented. Robinson is a interesting one. Few points today and does some good things. It almost sees like you have to watch his minutes. Although as an OA he's going to play plenty. His game can get sloppy at times. Needs to be engaged/motived. We'll see as the season moves along. They were missing 3 bodies back there today, one free agent signing Hoover and Collins. I like the wolves D going into the season. They'll be some movement back there.

The PP was good today. You had Goyette, Delic flying around the ice. Pharhand looked solid. Looked confident, and his skating has improved. Big and strong. Walton looks good. Could see him getting some 3rd line minutes as things move along. Maybe second unit PP time. He's that talented. It should be interesting to see what the other 3 lines can give you besides the obvious top line.

Krawchuk looked very good all things considered. Moves well and athletic.

Wolves are good skating team. They compete. We'll see how it goes when everyone is playing at full strength.

Side note, maybe a Pete's fan can verify but I believe I seen Paps speaking with McCallum's father the entire game.

We'll see how it goes when we play Barrie and North Bay. Wolves will only get better playing against these teams so much. Really good measuring stick, hopefully Paps takes notes
