Agree with most that is said here. But...and I may be alone here but thought Krawchuk acually looked decent for a majority of this game. I think there is still potential. Nobody has seen him play I suppose its telling that the coaches don't have faith in his capabilities otherwise he would be getting more games...i just wonder what their seeing at practice to warrant the lack of confidence in him? Agree Chromiak on PP isn't working...maybe next year. I actually enjoy watching Mania when he's carrying the puck...fun skater and seems like a decent shot...Just hate how on offensive rushes he takes so long to get back to his blueline. I wonder if he could work a PP...isn't it worth a try. I agree he's a little shaky at time in the Dzone but I've seen improvement there as well. D.Robinson sorry to say just is not worth a spot... as bad a Bishop has shown I'd rather him on the bench as a 7th D playing select shifts than have Robinson there at any capacity.
I also liked aspects of his game, I found that he had very few rebounds, seemed to track the puck ok, I think that his lateral movement could use a little work as I found him moving a little slow from post to post. All of this could be from very little TOI. I like the potential that he brings.

Go Wolves Go!

Yes his lateral movement needs work, and intensity is low for me. Body language means alot when you play goalie, need to challenge and be confident in challenging shooters. I'm not sure on his potential needs to push more, and put in alot of work.

May be an early one. Hopefully not. Somewhat surprised about the warning about flashing lights. I wonder how the light sensitive people actually get here with head lights, traffic lights etc. Maybe we should ban night time.🤔

Perhaps Papineau should have a zoom chat with Dale DeGray for pointers on how to run an OHL team.

Unfortunate to not come out with a single point tonight. Thought they worked extremely hard for the full game vs a very strong and smart team. Same things continue to hamper this team. The lack of production on the PP opportunities. In fact I really believe that it takes the wind out of their sail when they play that poorly on the PP. Momentum shifts completely.

The other factor on not being able to win these close games is not having another forward who can produce with some consistency. We need to have two scoring lines. And as the season gets deeper into it games will get tighter and our one scoring line really can't sustain that kind of pressure the entire year.

I do preach getting smaller deals done early on in the season to help the team find a middle of the pack success in the East. The 10 game mark is a good enough gauge in what you need to move out and try and bring in. That's on the manager. His lack of ability to envision this is concerning and I think unfair to the team and fans. They just can't cling on a last place spot every year to limp in for two home playoff games. There needs to be progression in all facets of the season. Not sure at this point what our management plans are. Is it adding more picks through trades to make a push next year? Is it staying status quo? Is it making a smaller move to make the team a bit more competitive so that they can maybe reach a 6th place spot and maybe surprise in the playoffs and gain some valuable experience? Something needs to get done soon or this team just might not make a playoff this year imo. Just tired of seeing the losses pile up.

100% agree with you Jack! Every single word!

Feels like Groundhog Day. Good first period, out to an early lead then second period starts and it’s all downhill. Complete inability to sustain a complete 60 minutes.
I just can’t believe how bad this PP is? Defies logic. Early in the game they were successful just directing pucks at the net. Then it’s complete disorganization and a loss of any momentum they may have had. Again, I’m waiting for expected improvement after the coaching change. Feel free to enlighten me. We played one complete game in Peterborough, that’s it!
I feel like we maybe need a move to shake things up. A PP quarterback is essential. What a disappointment, I really thought we might be able to at least challenge for fourth but that’s looking very unlikely, it’s more like just trying to stay in a playoff position. A lot of individual mistakes and sloppy play. The only team lower than us comes in Sunday. We lose that one I don’t know man.

Two goals once again on a bad line change. This team is going nowhere and still no GM moves to help out . He blamed Duncanson saying he had confidence in every player on this roster but its quickly pointing towards him now. Really nowhere to hide !

On the bright side, I thought Musty, Konyen, Toure and Chromiak had strong games, but that was about it.

After a slow start (understandable given the days events) Owen Sound played well...Captain Clutch came through again

I luv Toure but a bad pinch in NZ caused odd man rush and second goal. Also, at least twice in his own end he reversed the puck to nobody. The kid is special and hopefully will be drafted but he too needs to clean up parts of his game.

Seems to me he's calling out Collins or Holmes. And he's not wrong both players have made some big mistakes in the last couple of games. We need more complete games from these two guys since they are out most valued and experienced guys back there.

*Derbidge Update: 3 GMS 3 G 2 A for 5 PTS with Stouffville!

I didn't hear Derek call anybody out during this interview. In Ben Leeson article he sure did.

DeGray's "secret" ?
Draft well, stick with your pick, develop from within.

Every now and then you'll catch lightning .
Doesn’t exactly sound revolutionary. Essentially good management and staff top down.

Right with respect we’re not particularly interested.

Do you know where I can read it?

Watching our neighbors down the highway tonight in Peterborough. Still early but N.B. played last night, and dominated the 1st period. It looked like the bay were playing 6 on 5.Ty Nelson what a stud. Confident, mature, and a leader. Fun team to watch. My wish is the wolves to play at that level one day.

Why is our Power Play struggling? Delic being hurt, hurts! 3 forwards and two D or 4 and one? Which of our D are best suited to be positioned at top of Umbrella? Last game against OS it was Mania. He has all the tools as he is agile and fast but he’ll need more reps as he struggled to manage the puck last game as he lost control and zone when it bobbled over his stick a few times and when he tried to dish to Musty (at least twice) the pass was on wrong side of Musty’s body (not in sweet spot) so Musty fed a return pass. Little things, but difference makers when you need to improve.
Chromiack at this point manages and distributes the puck better than Mania but his shot isn’t hard/fast but he can get it to the net through traffic.
Holmes good distributor with a booming shot but not as agile or quick.
Collins processes extremely well and will win most puck battles with above average quickness but puck management might be where he needs to improve.
Toure, all the tools but again needs to improve puck management.
Good news is we can only improve. So far Chromiack is my choice for PP QB, any other thoughts?
