Sudbury needs to address some size up front and on the backend. Barrie and North Bay has picked up some players with the size and tenacious work ethic with toughness. We play these guys a lot and have to be able to match that.

WJ
they just did, took a big 05 dman from the states, Brady Cleveland, was mentioned in here before

It would be interesting to see if that was the pick. Seeing a lot of fans frustration with some of Musty's weaknesses, I can't imagine folks would be happy with Taylor. Personally, I think it would be a smart pick, someone who can really shoot the puck, any other weaknesses be damned.

Looking at the OHL draft media guide, one interesting thing I noticed, there are 2 USNDP U18 players on the list, 05's both with NCAA commitments. Wonder if someone had them added to the list? Either could be interesting as a player who can step in a player a bigger role potentially if they drop their NCAA aspirations.
here

Cleveland is ranked 64th by CS for North Americans, 66th on Bob McKenzies list of all players, that would be our 2nd highest ranked player

If Hudson plays anything close to his father I would take him. The work ethic Neil had was incredible. Lets see....

Brady Cleveland. Anyone have the information on him. Big regard is something we needed.

WJ
Just googled him home run if he was to report, he is committed to university of Wisconsin but a few question marks. I tend to feel someone has some inside info on him and could be a strong possibility he comes here

Is Cleveland a committed NTDP player

WJ
Committed to U of Wisconsin but was added to the media guide this week, that makes me wonder if somebody knew he wasn't planning on going, they do have a very full blueline already so maybe he decided against it

Here's a scouting report: "My job is to move pucks and be hard to play against:" Brady Cleveland's profile sets him apart - EP Rinkside

Big and nasty to play against. Played NTDP this year.

If Cleveland comes hes stepping right into the top 4, you don't go from NTDP to #6/7 minutes. He's also a left shot. Really wondering if somebody knew something, and he was picked with the aim of filling that hole on the left side beside Mania.

Also, lots of talk about Dvorsky, but I just remembered Michael Hage. He had a pretty mediocre season with the Chicago Steel which wouldn't have helped his draft stock for next season, and still has two years before entering U Michigan. He could also report, especially if Dvorsky/other high end import report. Adding Hage/Import/Cleveland effectively fills all the holes on the current roster, and lets us use other pieces as trade ammo.

Booth from Sudbury, played in Pheonix this year. Leading scorer for Sudbury Nickel Caps last year, ahead of everyone already drafted. 2nd to Chitaroni in NOHL scoring. Decent sleeper pick. Wolves playing high risk/high reward with these mid-late picks and I love it, absolutely the way to go when you already have a mostly full roster and lots of guys pushing.

Watching for Paul Fischer now. Other American 05 dman, committed to Notre Dame, not exactly a hockey school lately. Ranked higher than Cleveland.

Why did he go to Phoenix? Parents live there now. Seems a bit bizarre

Earlier on these boards Bostonoz who I texted with indicated that the wolves would be selecting a USA 🇺🇸 player which could be a sleeper of the draft. He felt very big possibility he would report. I believe Cleveland was the guy

Cleveland is likely the US player referred to a few weeks ago. I’m sure Musty and Mania are helping or have helped with the sell job. All 05’s. If he is indeed coming, that will significantly change plans for the team next year.

Speaking of plans for next year, a Kitchener OA forward has asked for a trade. Strong possibility he ends up here

Is the second point confirmed? Where have you seen it?

Well they owe us one anyway for picking up Hage. So gladly if the price is right we will take Martin who I think you are referring to but have no confirmation. Makes sense though being a local kid.

Never seen him play but Cleveland has never scored a goal for the NTDP and has very few points (according to Elite Prospects) - possibly another American defensemen, like Adam Samuelsson, who decides to change leagues in pursuit of a better development opportunity. He could be just what this team needs on LD.

Seems his best chance of being drafted into the N is his physicality and using his size and his agent may believe this could be better on display in the O than at the college route. As bostonoz said he believes he may well be here.
