If the Wolves can get a commitment from a goaltender in the Euro draft ahead of April 21 then it is highly unlikely they would take a goalie with their first pick 9th overall. With Paps history at the Euro draft don’t hold your breath. Also if Davorsky commits then a big decision would have to be made to make room for another Euro player. Paps better have his cards in order and play them correctly if they really want to contend next season. Thoughts?

I'm a little torn on who i'd bring back as an OA next year. I would love to hear what our fanbase thinks.

This is my list:
1. Anania
2. McCallum
3. Bring in a veteran, proven scorer. Much needed.
4. Marc Boudreau - brings defensive play and PK. High energy type of guy that can also put the puck in the net.
5. D. Toure - the only reason why I have him here is because we have many young D that I'd like be given a chance to develop. Lots of young talent.
6. Larmand - very overrated, but the staff seems to love his D game as well. He must be a great kid in the dressing room.

Love to read your thoughts.
I bet you It will be Anania,Toure and either Boudreau or a trade for that scorer.DMac has probably seen enough of McCallum and Larmand's antics, and realizes they are uncoachable

my question was do you bench them
Its a fair question...I say you have the entire season where precedent should have been set... Come playoff time it should not be an issue. IMO. In this specific case....My answer is HELL NO...Musty and Goyette are the only untouchables at this point in the season...Bench them and there is now way any combination of players will respond enough to make up for the loss.

Wolves upcoming 1st round pick at 9 will be part of the monster package heading back to NB

O.Beck would look pretty good in a Wolves jersey next season as well
Well if the Wolves take an Import goalie (which feels like a real possibility) Beck to the Wolves is a great option. Pick 9 and picks should get it done. I could also see Saginaw having interest in Beck and Nelson

Wow one two minute penalty and you want to bail on McCallum he is part of the nucleus of this team. D Mac probably won’t be here next year as he will most likely get a pro offer.

I'd start the season with Anania, Toure & McCallum. Let Anania and Toure fight it out for the spot while you trade for an upgraded OA.

When is the window when you can trade your first round pick? I was under the impression it was sometime in Dec.

Outside of cases where it's a players who does not report, I believe it's the week leading up to the trade deadline, or at least roughly around there.

Terrible take. You bail on Mccallum after the year he just had. Brings so much to this squad. But ya let’s throw away his OA year for a dumb penalty. I think he already paid his price. But that’s your opinion and I have mine. I think it’s 1.McCallum
2. Anania
3. Toure

Thank you, would like to know who would you be targeting with your first pick

I hope McCallum stays, the on-going feud between he and Nelson is entertaining, from both sides I assume. Looking forward to 8 more head to heads next year.

Honestly, I don't think it matters terribly. If we assume they will be traded at the deadline next year, just draft the best player who will report, regardless of position. If they do plan on keeping the player long-term, Carson Cameron and Henry Brzustewicz are the two names they'll try to be in on, assuming they want a d-man. Brzustewicz may be a bit pickier on who he'll report to, I imagine.

Very, very weak draft on D. Except of course for Schaffer who will go top 2. There is a high end tender that would warrant a 1st round pick (not sure at #9). Some great forwards (deep draft at forward), Niagara May have to reach at 2 and 5 pick, to ensure players will report. Total decisions will be made after 5, starting with pick #6. IMO

I think McCallum had a break through season and was able to control his antics all season on the most part. I feel DM really likes him and you could see that moving him up on the first line, PK, PP. etc

I think the penalty McCallum took was undeniable bad brain fart and set off DM fuming in between periods, in the heat of the moment. Once coach loses his sh@t at the moment told him to pack up. I really believe he would have done that to any player that would have taken a timely bad penalty like that. I think it's more of the nature of the penalty, by tripping the goalie during the PK. If he took any other kind of penalty during the PK, like a trip on the forecheck, I believe DM wouldn't have lost it.

I believe DM is in McCallum corner, anyone that has coached before knows these things can happen, it can get heated especially during playoffs.

No.Four years of selfish detrimental play.He has only become a decent player this year. With the amount of ice time he was given this year he should have scored 30 but he does not possess an OHL caliber shot.

Main takeaways from tonight

1. That may be the softest penalty shot call I've ever seen
2. Spears are no longer penalties in the OHL I guess
3. The no call on the slewfoot against Larmand in the wolves end near the end of the game was absolutely wild
4. Maybe give Krawchuk the start tomorrow? Nothing much to play for a t this point and it would be nice to get him some playoff experience.

The Series has definitely not gone as expected, everyone expected the defense to be the wolves problem when in reality they've gotten a single goal outside of the first line through 3 games.

Atleast we just have one more of these before we can move on to next season. Cheers to all the wolves fans who made it out tonight. Petes just the better team at the end of the day. Could be worse, wolve could be Windsor, giving up a roster worth of assets to go out in the first.

Mccallum isn’t going anywhere unless he requests a trade which if I were him I would

I think Derrick broke the Wolves spirit with that McCallum crap last game. Terrible coaching decision.
I would rather watch them go out in a blaze of penalties than the p***yfoot/afraid to hit anything nonsense that I witnessed tonight.
I won't even get in to the choice of starting goaltender for the series.
We were done before it even started unless we were somehow able to outscore that deficiency.
But who knows,
Maybe Chucky can rattle off four straight wins starting tomorrow if he gets the chance.
