I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

It's hard to believe Villeneuve is only 16 still. I think people often forget this. Just with how well rounded his game is already. He plays like an older player in the league right now. His two way game is exceptional. 50-60 point guy next season, and will easily be a PPG+ at some point in his OHL career. Kid is a stud

Alright alright relax. Call a cab in Sudbury at 6 ish on a Friday and see if you wait half an hour. Let's stick to hockey anyway. Let me correct myself it's the city that never sleeps

I get that it's frustrating but the city has two large cab companies and two ride share apps. The fact that this happens speaks to it not being all that quiet.

Next time stay at the Holiday Inn and grab a beer downtown after. I'll be at McThirsty's but there are lots of cool little spots. 🍻
Okay sounds good

Maybe all the taxi drivers were at the Pete's game.
I heard they were getting a free ticket with every ride!😁

Question if Goyette or Musty do something really stupid and we are tied late in the third do you sit them?
Eventually the message that you play for the crest on the front of your sweater, instead of selfishly settling any petty vendetta you have with opponents has to get through.

The whole point is you never win big in any league unless you are self-less in the pursuit of victory. So the answer is yes .The culture needs to be changed on the team to show that their is accountability for selfish individual actions that are detrimental to the team

You can't change the culture come playoff time, it's too late. Needs to happen during the season or preseason.

Now is not the time to shorten your bench like your suggesting. You need Goyette, Musty and McCallum to play. One of these guys takes a stupid penalty ya maybe. sit a shift or two, or sit the next PP, but you can't bench them the rest of the game.

You need to set this precedence during the season, not in a 7 game series. Players need to handle their emotions for sure, but you're only helping the Petes by sitting your top guys at this point in the season.

Do you bench these guys during the season for a game so the message is sent? sure... It's way too late in the season to send this kind of message. If it's not in their heads by now you've already lost them. It's too late for this.

Wolves need to get off to a quick start tonight. Small crowd or not, the players will be jacked.

Get the momentum going early and keep it rolling. If the Petes go up early, it could be deflating.

Agreed, but clearly MacKenzie doesn't. Hence why he sent McCallum to the showers after that bonehead play that put the Wolves down two men and cost them a goal against at a crucial time in the game. Hopefully message has been sent and received

As I feared it may be too late indeed

I don't think it will be that small. Most of the available were on the ends.

Don't assume that DM is trying to change the culture this late in the year. I'm sure he's been trying to implement these changes throughout the year. We just cannot afford to have players that are that bone-headed/selfish to take penalties in such a crucial time. Judging by DM's actions, he's had plenty of discussions with the players regarding these issues.

#11 did this the entire year last year. We cannot continue to be the most penalized team year after year and expect to find success, especially in the playoffs. #9's penalty the game before was boneheaded, but #11's was worse to me because it was selfish. It looks like coaching staff is at its wits ends when it comes to this kid to take such drastic actions.

I stand by DM's decision. TEAM FIRST!

Petes fan here -
Just trying to clarify what happened in GM 2 :

MacCallum took a selfish penalty and DM (coach) sent him to the dressing room part way through the period ?

Is this roughly what happened?

Yes he was seen sitting in the stands, question is did he say something to the coaches to warrant this, did he go on his own or did coach simply bench him. What seems strange is that the trainer did not follow him immediately to the dressing room.

Thank you for your response.

I am admirer of the Sudbury team assembled-I love the toughness etc.

That is a very courageous (I want to say ballsy but I am trying to be polite) move by DM to send a player to the showers-talk sends a message for sure !

The controversy is more about the timing of the event and did it have a possible outcome o the game. Makes for good conversation.

Well to me it's like a school teacher who tries to crack.the whip in the last semester. Should have been done earlier. Some of those boneheaded antics are an embarrassment to the jersey and a betrayal to the other players. Might as well pick the puck up and drop it in our net.

Very likely Mackenzie told him to get out of his sight.

Well it's funny you say that because one old timer told me the same thing. He loved the "wolf pack" mentality. Just have to learn how to stay on the right side of the line.

I'm a little torn on who i'd bring back as an OA next year. I would love to hear what our fanbase thinks.

This is my list:
1. Anania
2. McCallum
3. Bring in a veteran, proven scorer. Much needed.
4. Marc Boudreau - brings defensive play and PK. High energy type of guy that can also put the puck in the net.
5. D. Toure - the only reason why I have him here is because we have many young D that I'd like be given a chance to develop. Lots of young talent.
6. Larmand - very overrated, but the staff seems to love his D game as well. He must be a great kid in the dressing room.

Love to read your thoughts.

I'm just excited for Ty Nelson and Dom DiVincentiis to be Wolves next season
