Great avatar by the way. I wish it would have been a little less crowded in the hallways because I really would’ve liked to take a good long look at the wall of pictures showing all the great players that played for the Petes.

What did you think of Chase Stillman when he played for the Wolves and why did he want out? I thought that the Petes overpaid big time . The last few months he has worked hard but sure doesn't have the soft hands. I could never see him being drafted into the NHL in the first round.
Definitely agree. I think the Petes really overpaid for him.

To be successful in Life and in sports, one has to be held accountable for their actions. If fans feel cheated, imagine how teammates feel?
Teamates aren’t paying the better part of $30 to watch though.
He was a hard worker here and contributed on offense but took a lot of selfish penalties and at the same time was asked to do more than he was capable of. His wanting out was a mutual decision by him and the team. Neither side were happy with each other, they weren't going to contend with him and he wasn't good in the room at the time. With the Pete's he playing a role that's more suited to him and not his draft status. He'll play NHL games but was drafted too high and is a bottom six NHL player if he makes it full time.
No way I see him playing in the NHL but good luck to him.

Mentioned prior to series that special teams and goaltending would play a factor. Good teams have both.

We can talk benching or not benching but simply put the wolves are just not good enough.

Never would of thought gens, and sauga would of had better success these playoffs but you don't play games on paper

DM has gotten the most out of his players and I think they have very little left in the tank.

We will see what tonight brings but a quick peek into next season. To me whoever the GM is next season has alot of work to do if the wolves are going for it as some may think

Wolves have alot of shopping to do and I'm not sure the have the resources to do it.

Goaltending will cost and probably more than the 4th they gave up for Ranger. Need help on the backend that will cost and of course topping up the forward lines

I think you need more than two strong forwards to boost this lineup along with Musty and Goyette and I'm not confident there will be enough growth that's needed with the other returnees for this supposed run

What about upgrading the o/a slots. It's needed and will cost.

Alot of heavy lifting ahead. Not an easy fix IMO.
According to the draft pick database, this is what the Wolves have in the cupboard. Definitely some opportunities to flip some 2023 picks for future ones this coming draft but assuming the Wolves use all of their picks at the 2023 draft, it would still leave them with:
- 6 2nds
- 6 3rds
- 2 4ths

Pair this with some other roster players and potentially the 2023 first and there is significant value for the Wolves to make some serious additions.

You’re right, teammates aren’t paying $30/night. They are paying thru sacrifice. To chase a dream and to win for our community. I get the cost, but gotta take the good with the bad.

To be tops in the east. I don't think that's enough currency.

Many including myself wanted no part of Barrie Ottawa or North Bay. Hindsight should of played one of them. Good showing by the gens, Hamilton and Missy

Unfortunately a hell of a lot more bad than good since the Inception of the franchise. One of the only things I’m looking forward to is watching Krawchuck get a start. Knowing McKenzie’s track record so far though I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes with Brassard again, which would be ridiculous given it’s another back-to-back. Not to mention we’ve had zero luck with him, not that it’s been his fault but not changing things up doesn’t make sense at this point.

We need to appreciate the push the Wolves made to finish 5th in the East. They gave everything and we need to face the fact that our 2002’s and 2003’s aren’t good enough period. Next few years look like we could actually make a push for the Memorial cup and my feeling is that it will happen when Delic and Konyen are the Oa’s on this team.

I would try to sell Goyette and Collins big starting this summer and get as many picks as possible to be ready when time comes. I don’t think we have the assets to try two years in a row. Can anyone seriously consider making a push having Larmand McCallum and Toure upfront ? Let’s be serious… They are the main reason this team is undisciplined.

Gives Wolves fans an idea of what it takes to be a serious buyer and to go "all in".
Some nice pieces they moved out. Wolves don't have those type of expendable pieces. They needed everything they got and then some.

If the wolves don't go for a run next year, they should do us a favor and just fold the team at this point.

Sure they do. I don't think Petes fans were thrilled giving up Lardis (Villeneuve) and Van Volsen (upcoming #9 pick). Gotta give to get. Gotta pay big to go all in and a chance at a championship. Something the Wolves have no clue about with building a contender. Not that we've seen yet. Now I'm not saying trade Villeneuve lol, I know the out cry on here at that suggestion. But Lardis is in that same category as Villeneuve if not better, a young stud you would never want or expect your team to trade. Well what do you know, the Petes trade Lardis in an "all in" type deadline move. Something to think about

As I said missing Collins, ineffective PP, penalties would be the demise of this team’s chances of winning vs the Pete’s.

One thing has been made clear watching the Pete’s. Experience matters, size matters, depth scoring lines matters, discipline matters and solid goaltending.

For all the rumours about how the Pete’s were struggling prior to the playoffs and that locker room issues existed. They have proven to all and judging by the way they are playing that they have worked out everything and have bought win for the playoffs.

Papineau will need to find at least 2 high end scoring forwards next year as well a very effective power play dman and strong stay at home defender who can eliminate second chances and defend the front of the net from the hash marks in. Oh and an experienced goaltender.

Just need 5 more good vets :) all-in

Agree, it’s gotta be next year; like Petes this year, now or never.
I was in favour of selling Goyette, then all-in the following year too.
That is until I saw what Miss pulled off. The first selected goalie (should have been Papineau to do that) along with 5-1sts born 2005-06. Geez.

Kudos to the Wolves for a season where they surpassed expectations.

Krawchuk 15/15, I look forward to seeing him next year, really feels like we have our starter of the future(And should have been present)

To the Petes -

Congrats to your loser fans who got themselves kicked out

Congrats to the classless players who spent their time taunting the crowd. Othmann, what an absolute loser.

To the rest of the Petes fans and players, good luck in the next round, you'll need it against Ottawa.

Go 67s Go!

Agree with everything here!

Petes fan here -
I just wanted to say congratulations on a hard fought series -Sudbury is such a good young team so fast and so tough to play against.

Special shout out to your commentators on TV who were so fair and informed and to the person doing the in between period interviews-she was so positive - everyone was so fair in their comments.

Our commentators are homers so it nice to see !

Well done Sudbury -next year you lads are going to be even more deadly to play against -your future is winning.

Funny enough, I thought the Petes commentators were quite good, and I'm not a big fan of the ones we have here in Sudbury generally, they're ok at best.

Our loser fans threw beer on the ice at the end of the game & one fan was at the glass yelling and giving McCoy the finger as he was being tended to by the trainer. Doesn't exactly earn the fans the respect of the Petes.

I believe this is when Othmann was taunting the crowd....he was responding to the fans yelling at McCoy who was hurt

A source very close to the team told me tonight it was always going to be Brassard's crease in the post season, no matter what, because "it's his last year".
Feel even more cheated now........

Feels like more of a Pap decision.
