Bruhhhhh

I got a stand mixer for Christmas and have used it a bit here and there for cookies and stuff, and I've made simple breads in the past like pretzels and focaccias but never did anything that complex. I ran across a youtube video last week with a recipe for calzones and decided to make it, and this is life changing. In like 4 minutes the stand mixer turns it into the type of legit dough you'd see at a market or restaurant, and after letting it ferment in the fridge for a day I just took the highway to the calzone zone with some ricotta, mozz, and parmesan, and it's phenomenal. Like damn near Italian restaurant quality in my home oven. Definitely will make this again, as well as pizzas.

I cringed a little bit reading that although wonder bread was awesome as a kid. I don't buy white bread anymore really nowadays except for burgers and things like that.

I should preface this by saying I was like 8 at the time! Now I am disgusted at the thought!

White bread for peanut butter and fluff is still great. It's been years but I can still taste it haha

Still do white bread in our house. Don't eat enough of it to really care.

My husband is a PB and Fluff junkie. Doesn't always make a sandwich...he'll take a spoon of PB and then dunk it in the fluff to satisfy the itch.

Also, once the weather turns....

Cookie dough ice cream with PB sauce and marshmallow sauce.

You're welcome.

I could barely eat whole wheat bread at one point, but now I genuinely prefer it.

The most surprising thing is that whole wheat hamburger buns tend to actually be softer than their white counterparts.

(However, I find whole wheat macaroni inedible. Totally disgusting. As an Italian---yes, despite my complexion and last name---I think both genetically and legally I must hate it.)

It's going to sound crazy, but put some Ruffles chips in your next PB and Fluff sandwich. It sounds like it wouldn't work but it works so well together.

You crazy Americans....lol

Edit to add: I mean about the fluff - I have never had it, I think it is imported to Canada but I have never seen it.

No. But as a kid I used to like plain mustard sandwiches on wonder bread

*hides*

Grew up in the 70's in a family of 7 kids and money was tight. Sometimes a mustard sandwich was all you had to eat. My siblings and I joke about it at family gatherings, and the various offspring think we are making it up (especially the part about not using the last piece of cheese because my mother saved that for her favorite cat).

whole wheat here too. Although the mention of Wonder Bread brings back that distinct feeling of it stuck to the roof of my mouth. Lol.
Listen to you two, acting like the use of whole wheat makes it basically like eating a pillow case full of broccoli lol
