It’s just a cherry picked stat. Most of those games were early in the year when the team was a disaster in every respect. What even is top 10? Teams fluctuate in and out of top 10 throughout the season. Top 10 when? Today? The time of the game?

Last night?in the last month, I see 2 very bad games from him...Washington and Pittsburgh
he's had more good games than bad lately
I can’t believe that.Winning 15 percent of your games gainst top competition is pretty normal. Get off his back.
I can’t believe that.
Obviously you would never post such a definitive statement without having the data to support.
Can you share the splits that show this? Thanks.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell. I’m glad you edited to add the sarcasm emoji.I majored in sarcasm. That's my proof!!
Yeah, while I majored in sarcasm, I only got a C+.Sometimes it’s hard to tell. I’m glad you edited to add the sarcasm emoji.
The Jack Campbell contract really was devastating. I trust you understand that.Winning 15 percent of your games gainst top competition is pretty normal. Get off his back.
And anyways, if Holland didn't make a bad trade 3 years ago, or if McDrai would have scored in games 6 months ago, Skinner would have won all those games...

I dont even know why Oilers GM sign players to extensions. They once signed Kassian to a bad one too.The Jack Campbell contract really was devastating. I trust you understand that.
Okay, not quite the same thing but you can have a gold star for that brilliant observation.I dont even know why Oilers GM sign players to extensions. They once signed Kassian to a bad one too.
Pathetic that we're forced to use Skinner as our starter because the previous GM skullf***ed the goaltending situation so badly and left us with no other option.CantHaveHim be our only option in net heading into the playoffs.
Pathetic that the best player in the world in 30 years has his legacy tied to this plug in net.
You'd figure with his stature (legacy) that he hasn't addressed our goaltending dilemma to management,?? quite surprised,CantHaveHim be our only option in net heading into the playoffs.

Well if he isn't being listened too and they fired Woodcroft and tossed him away like garbage for no reason just to get some skeletons out of McDs closet like that'll f***in fix everything then he does have to demand a trade to wake the f***in management up. We needed a goalie not to fire our coach "oh but game 7 of the finals!" Yeah how about games 1, 2, & 3? f***ing pathetic. He gave Pickard ONE start against Vancouver and Skinner said he was soooo pissed off. He is happy when he loses though hes "learning" and "having fun" motherf***er WE aint having fun watching you be mentally weak and physically recoiling in net when the puck comes at you over 5km an hour then he will also give up a juicy rebound and get scored on 3 times in less than a minute. f***in plug. He sucks! (Skinner I mean and I hope McD won't have to be traded but damn even McD looks out of juice these days)You'd figure with his stature (legacy) that he hasn't addressed our goaltending dilemma to management,?? quite surprised,
Fun fact despite the oilers “dominance” last night the HDSC were very close and the Leafs crushed us in that metric 7-2 in the first period.
But no we are a perfect team and everyone is perfect . The Leafs have killed is for years
But I thought the Oilers were the best team in the league at HDSC suppression? Why did they allow the Leafs to run their show in the first period? Again, the game ended with the HDSC being relatively even despite the shot differential. Fact remains that the Oilers played awful defense in the first period and paid for it.3 goals on 7 HDSC is f***ING HORRIBLE. You know that right???????
It's even worse than his typical performance. Do you know where he actually ranks when comparing him to all goalies?

He's one f***ing point WORSE than Georgiev (whom the AVS fired into the f***ing sun).

This also once again points to the problems of Oilers not finishing their scoring chances. Either every average goalie the Oilers have lost to is secretly a God or there's something wrong with the vast majority of forwards who couldn't put a puck in the ocean. Not to mention the slow starts that have been killing them lately.
Oh, and the power play sucked too. I'm sure that's also Skinner's fault.
In the grand scheme of things, Skinner is supposed to be the backup goalie to Jack Campbell but here we are.
Well maybe management should've done their homework in previous years so we weren't forced to rely on Skinner. Instead they listen to Dustin Schwartz who has tanked basically every goalie he's come into contact with. They'll be happy to throw Skinner under the bus while the next goalie comes along and performs at roughly the same level. The Oilers haven't taken goaltending seriously in a very, very long time. In fact there's a lot of areas that they don't take seriously. If it wasn't for McDavid and Draisatl this team would probably be around where the Sharks are.We can all agree that Skinner should be a back-up goalie.
The Oilers are undoubtedly one of the top 5 teams defensively. Literally every single metric demonstrates this. That doesn't mean they don't give up any. It just means they give up far fewer than most. The stats also show, definitively, that their goaltender is objectively bad at stopping high danger chances.
Do you know what this means? It means that the Oilers are punished way way way WAAAAAAY harder than they should be when they do give up a high danger chance.
All of this shit is so simple, Ray Charles could see goaltending is the single biggest problem with this hockey club.
