Forgive me for coming into enemy territory, but being at the game tonight, Jarvis was excellent and particularly noticeable as the game went along. You have an absolute gem (not that you didn’t need me to tell you that)
We're not enemies - you can come over and tell us that some more!

Glad (and a little surprised, though I don't get to see much of y'all) for your success this year!

I lied and stayed up to watch the 2nd period. Kotkaniemi definitely looks a lot more comfortable at center. His possession play has been strong these 2 games with a CF of 63 and 55. Im assuming he had a decent 3rd with a positive Corsi like that despite being outshot 1 to 4. Hopefully he gains some confidence with his own shot and / or Martinook and Lorentz start potting some.

I guess Necas just needed to get sick to get it started this season.

I know Staal is the shutdown guy but playing him against an all world speed line was asking for trouble, and it was.

A 3rd period of 65% CF *chef’s kiss*

Canes had no business winning that game last night, but Freddy willed them to a tied start of the 3rd where they were able to get one past. ANA is a very, very good team currently. Great speed, size, and goaltending.

the first period, we should have been down a goal or two. The Canes did really well at puck possession and generating scoring chances the next two periods. it basically evened out.

Anaheim sought out that match up and were able to dictate that at home so wasn't a ton we could do about it.

According to Adam Gold on his podcast, Jarvis had 5 high danger scoring chances and no one else had two*.

He could have 5 goals at this point, which would be tied for third on the team.

I expected him to be good but not this good.

Thanks Toronto!

Edit: no one else has MORE than two.

I disagree. Canes started slow but outplayed them in the third with the game on the line.

The ducks look legit though.

The more I watch Seth's goal from last night the more I realize how insanely skilled that play was. It wasn't a lucky bounce at all like Tripp kept suggesting for some reason. His initial shot was saved and as he skated past the net he gathered his own rebound on his skate and kicked it to his stick and clearly intentionally shot it off the back of Gibson's pad for it to bounce into the net. All in like 1.5 seconds. Incredible goal.

Well, Tripp was also insisting Jarvis got a chance on the play that resulted in a penalty shot when he very clearly didn't. Tripp gonna Tripp.

Yea, I don't think it's fair that the result is determined solely by the score.

Well said sir, every teams championship run has some of these games sprinkled in the mix. The fact that we can still find a way to win these just further legitimizes this teams chances. Nevermind what it does for the confidence of this young team. I will take that all day long.
