Well, if Tripp was right, Dougie's lazy pass led to the first goal, he went disconnected controller on the 2nd, he took the awful penalty to lead to the 3rd, and completely misplayed the puck in 2OT.

Best case, he only directly impacted 3 of the 4 goals against. Best case.

We dominated this game only for this dunce to singlehandedly piss it away.
Emotions are high. Not going to defend Dougie. I’m just saying this was a team let-down despite his F-ups. Nothing we can do now. Game 5 is do or die.

Ned is by far the best Goalie on the team, slices and dices Mrazek in just about every way. Our defense IS pathetic. Getting back on defense, pathetic. Watching Bean getting skated by then deked when he had better position to start was so humiliating, but for him, not me, what a joke of a player CUT.

If we lose this series maybe the homers will start to realize RBA(Coach) is not our future, and is not even good at the job. Playoffs don't cut it. I want Cups and if you don't you're not a true Caniac sorry not sorry.

There's no way you are serious.

We're 2-2 with a clearly inferior team on paper except at the goaltending position. Of course, we're 2-2, cause almost none of our players are playing up to the their own standard that they've proven they can. That's an obvious coaching issue. And I didn't even mention the conditioning problem this time, but I may as well keep pushing it since it doesn't seem to sink in to you "fans." Our team is very young on average.... there is no excuse to be less conditioned than the Preds.

And if you couldnt see them out-skating us most of the time (3rd period about 10 mins left(roughly) then I'm sorry but you may be blind? Maybe you can rewind and watch our players feet, look at the acceleration of most of our players by the 10 min mark of the 1st OT it became very noticeable. It was also very noticeable that they were NOT suffering the same level of fatigue as we were. The Preds were tired... The Canes we dead-legged. THAT IS matter of factly.. a coaching issue, so yak it up RBA defenders.. I hoped he would be a great coach too, but I'm a realist.

Hamilton’s penalty on Josi was a terrible call and he didn’t do a thing wrong there. Tripp picking on him is in your guys heads. He didn’t play great but he wasn’t the reason we lost. We don’t look like the better team right now, that’s the bigger problem.
Yes, he’s a scapegoat and Josi dove, but it was still a slash and a completely unnecesary one.

Yes, we lost because of impotent offense.

But, no you won’t stop me bitching, because I damn need it.

IMAGINE IF I ACTUALLY WATCHED AT 1 OR 2 AM LIKE USUALLY.

This team is absolutely worthless on the road without Slavin, frankly. Nashville is not good at all. We should've easily swept them after the first 2 games. Just flat out embarrassing. See you all next game, done with hockey for a few days.

He's at best a #2 guy who needs an alpha on his line to succeed, as he's in way over his head being asked to carry the load by himself.

He should be paid as much, but he'll end up getting $8m-$10m
I really hope we don’t open up the checkbook for him. He’s not a bad player, by any means, but he’s a defensive liability—and he has a tendency to play soft in big moments.

I just watched the highlights... Calling Douglas out for the second goal seems uncalled for. Litterly everyone on the ice thought Ned had the puck covered.

That was a terrible call that led to the PP and tieing goal.

The one in OT there is really no excuse for... Maybe mental fatigue idk.

It doesn't seem like you can hang this game on Doug, but you can ask yourself if he is worth a fat contract when he can't elevate his game in the PO's and looks pretty meh when he isn't paired with Slavin.

StrmSurge, you can properly piss off with your comments against Rod. If you're trolling, you've beaten a dead horse as you act like you're a Canes fan. If you're serious, you aren't gonna change anyone's minds. You might as well try persuading a super partisan person or a religious person that their beliefs are all wrong. The same result will happen: you aren't gonna change people's minds.

Rod has been a huge factor in this team making the playoffs three years in a row. That should be indisputable.

Dougie is supposed to be our badass motherf***er on defense. He's supposed to be that guy who gives us that offensive punch from the blue line that gives us an advantage that other teams don't have. He's hyped to be a Norris Finalist kinda guy.

Its not just about the f***ups so far. Its about the fact that he's just not playing to the level we need him to play. In a spot where we need him to step up and lead this team, he's taking a passive back seat. Hakanpaa is having more of an impact in this series than Dougie.
